Stayed here as usual bed and breakfast was full. Efficient friendly staff comfortable bed. Will use again. You get discount in the restaurants in the services and the Chow Chicken Katsu Curry is great.
We chanced upon the Reading Travelodge after being unable to get to the one I had booked at Heston because J3 & J4 were closed due to an accident. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and spent 15 minutes on the phone getting our reservation transferred. The room was clean, tidy and very quiet. The bed was very comfy and I had a great nights sleep. No charge for the services car park if you stay at the Travelodge and there is a good choice of food and plenty of seating inside & out.
We were also given a 20% discount voucher off food from the receptionist. I'd happily stay there again.
Well it's a Travelodge so it's basic. Does the job for a night. Typical services here too with B.K and Gregg's for example. I was actually here trying to sleep during the day as I was on a night shift. Pretty impossible to sleep during the day with cleaners and maintenance going about there work. But that's pretty standard wherever you stay.
the wi-fi code only worked for one device - my son got in first ! - three of us could not use our devices with a message of voucher already used.
tea and coffee standard for these places but tending to taste a bit like dishwater!!
rooms were clean overall did what it said on the tin - no frills (or thrills) somewhere to sleep by the motorway
We used this hotel to stay in so that we could go to Reading Festival. It was perfect for us as it was a great price (compared to all the ones close to the festival). The staff were nice on arrival. We needed more provisions and they were happy to replenish them. We also needed to borrow a hairdryer which they were also happy to do at reception. It's at the services on the M4 so there is Burger King, Greggs, Costa, Marks & Spencer food, and a restaurant all there for snacks, and food. It cost us £20 in a taxi to the festival (which we expected) and surprisingly the price didn't go up after midnight when we were returning. The rooms were comfortable enough, we had a family room which was big enough for us. Tea/coffee making facilities. We weren't in the hotel too long, but it was comfortable and clean for us - all we needed really for 1 night.
