We went in this restaurant for lunch. The service was excellent and food delicious. The price was also very reasonable.

This restaurant had the added view onto the river.

A place worth visiting.

The restaurant is situated in Ornans which is one o the most picturesque hill towns of the Jura and birthplace of the artist Coubert. Our intention was to visit the restaurant, recommended by the Michelin guide, on our way to the Alps but were unable to reserve a table so we booked well in advance for the return and were not disappointed. The entire experience was something quite special and would urge anyone visiting the Jura to head for this restaurant. The location could not be bettered as it is situated in one of the houses overlooking the River Loue with the actual terrace extending out over the river. There being only 3/4 tables on this terrace it is worth requesting one when booking. The houses on both sides of the river (like a miniature Venice) are lit by down-lights during the evening giving a a quite magical effect to the entire experience. As is now the experience of French dining the portions are not large but the quality makes up for it. We chose the 40 Euro menu and our party of four went through all the options offered without any negative comments. The food is obviously well presented but dining on the terrace elevated the whole evening to something special and unforgettable. Try it!!!!!

excellent quality. At least in this restaurant you eat something you cannot prepare yourself !
But be aware to reserve your table on beforehand and take a table with view on the Loue.

Every course was fantastic ,started with lobster wrapped in pastry for entree . Main meal was trout in a white wine sauce that was cooked to perfection . Dessert was a citrus raspberry tart with a meringue top . Atmosphere was lovely looking out over the river . Downstairs they also have a cafe which l am sure would be fantastic
