Where do I begin? The Hyatt is absolutely beautiful, but the workers make it even more beautiful!! From the moment we arrived and were greeted with tasty drinks from Wanda, to the moment we left, we were waited on hand and foot!! There was not one worker who wouldn’t go above and beyond for us in every way!!

Some of the workers who really stood out to us were Amado, Ransel, Bryan, Delfy, Arismendy Martinez, and Suleica from entertainment! They made sure we knew what was going on each day!! They made us feel like we were their favorite people! Their energy was contagious!!

Eva from guest services helped us with an incident, which turned out to be nothing but a mix-up, thankfully! She was so compassionate and attentive to our needs. She got to the bottom of the issue quickly and with the utmost professionalism.

Guery and Gamaliel were wonderful in getting us checked in quickly with the most amazing view in the entire resort!! We were room 1720 (7th floor) with the best ocean and pool view there is!

Felix handled our bags and was quick, courteous, and friendly!

Andres and Maria from the Club Level pool made sure our drinks were always made to perfection! My husband thought the micheladas were the best, and my personal fave was a blended mango mojito at this pool!

Amauri, who worked by the towels at the Club Level pool was a godsend, making sure we always had a shaded spot to sit in and fresh towels!

Jeyson of the pool right next to Chinola was excellent and attentive!

Ezequiel of Tempest put on a fun hibachi show for us! He was so happy and obviously loves his job!

Jose from the Mercado and Tempest was so friendly and made a lasting impression on us! So did Luis R., Sonlly, and Melvin T. of the Mercado.

Glenys, our housekeeper, worked many hours, making sure our room was always clean and we had plenty of towels, drinks, snacks, etc.

What AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL people!!! So humble and

gracious! They truly have a love for their jobs!

Hector, our photographer, was nothing short of amazing!! Over 80 photos, and not one bad one, so we bought them all!! Do a photo shoot at the Hyatt! The lasting memories are more than worth it!

We enjoyed our drinks from the Club Level bar the most! We also enjoyed breakfast at Chinola, so for us, Club Level was worth it! We switched off between Chinola and Mercado for breakfast and enjoyed the differences each provided! Chinola has a gorgeous view and the healthier options, while Mercado has a wider variety of foods.

The water park provided fun for the kids (ages 23, 22, 20 and 14). They loved the slides and we all loved the lazy river. There was an area for littles if your kids are younger.

The coffee bar was so good for a quick snack or a specialty coffee.Their paletas (popsicles) were delicious, and we had to have one last one on our way out!! The ice cream was also one of our faves! I forgot to get any of the ladies’ names at the coffee bar, but they were all excellent!

The pool snack bar, Prontos, was good for some yummy French fries, a burger, or wood fired pizza.

The restaurant food is really ok, not bad and not outstanding. The Hibachi is fun, and we tried everywhere else. The Mercado (buffet) was our favorite due to the variety. I’ll really miss the large scallops, and my husband and boys will miss the various premium cut meats!

Our stay was, simply stated, amazing, and we will miss the beautiful workers most!!

Everything was very clean. The staff was very respectful from the waiters, to the front desk. Food was delicious. The views are amazing and the service was great. I will definitely be going back! Thank you!

The people were very friendly specially Santa from the pool! Super clean hotel and . Great food and fun night shows.
The kids had a blast at the water park and they loved going to the kids club. I highly recommend ziva!

I just got back from a vacation with my husband and thirteen year old twins, and we had an amazing experience at The Hyatt Ziva. The moment we entered the lobby to the day we left, we were treated like loyalty by EVERYONE. Check in was fast and enjoyable, which never happens in most resorts. We arrived early so our room wasn’t ready yet but we were brought downstairs to one of the restaurants so we could eat, drink and relax while our room was getting done. When we walked into the restaurant everyone working there welcomed us with a huge smile, their right hand on their heart , drinks and an amazing meal. We were so nervous traveling during this Covid times and we were not sure if we were going to feel safe going to a foreign country… we felt safer at the hotel than we felt anywhere else for the past year and a half. Everyone is so careful with Covid protocols, there are masks and sanitizers everywhere you go, staff ALWAYS wear masks and goggles everywhere, utensils are pre-sealed and wrapped inside a plastic bag with the fabric napkins inside and rooms are impeccable. Another thing I was impressed with was the extreme cleanliness of the entire property, elevators, stairs, doors, gardens, beach, walkways and most importantly the restaurants.
THE FOOD was amazing everywhere and it was very easy to just walk into any of the restaurants without having to make reservations.
THE STAFF was my favorite part of being there. Everyone there is really happy to be there and they really do serve you from the heart. What an amazing team of people! I was blown away by the consistency of quality in the service there. Congratulations to management for what they are doing with their staff… it’s nothing short of amazing.
THE DECOR is gorgeous, modern and very appropriate for the beach without being too literal or tacky. I’m an interior designer and I was very impressed with the beautiful design of every space there.
What could be improved? They need to make the drinks that are only offered to club members more accessible throughout the resort. It’s very inconvenient to get a drink from the club if you are eating inside a restaurant, for example or if you are at the pools or beach. I’m just referring to specific drinks like Patron Silver. Drinks are abundant and available everywhere in any other case. They also need better equipment for dealing with seaweed. Those poor guys are there all day working and trying to get rid of the seaweed but the equipment is too small and outdated.
Thank you Hyatt Ziva for an amazing experience and I’m already booking my next trip to you in January 2022… I’ll see you all then ! ❤️
