I stayed for a couple of nights in August and I was very impressed, particularly with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, which makes all the difference. It's well located near Annot station, and right on the edge of the town's facilities.

After a days visiting Colmar, Meaille and Annot we checked into Hotel De L'Avenue having pre booked. Owner/hosts Eve and Eric couldn't have done more for us. Room was well equipped and cool!
Nice aperitif served on street outside in the evening. We would have had dinner there but the set menu not exactly to our liking. In the end our restaurant choice was poor but that's another review.
Excellent breakfast.. normal French fare but I think a "reduced" breakfast was also available which is a nice idea if only wanting coffee/croissant.
This is a beautiful area for touring, hiking and we'd happily return to this hotel.

Stayed here on a two day visit to the area.
The owners made us feel very welcome.
Room was spotless as were the common areas. The hotel had been refurbished and reopened last October 2016. Breakfast was plentiful and the evening meals were excellent with a good selection of wines. If we are in the area we would stay here again.

L'hotel de l'Avenue is under new management and we found that it has actually improved. Amazingly the prices have been reduced. We had a small two room suite on the first floor (Room One) which was very comfortable indeed. Our dinner comprised a heavenly veloute de courgettes followed by a tasty beef ragout with raviole. A very good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and all the extras such as hard-boiled eggs, meats and cheese.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear may be quieter but we had no noise issues on a Saturday night

Annot was an ideal location for us as it is mid-way along the spectacular "train de provence" route from Nice to Digne-les-Bains, so giving us easy rail access to all the other places of interest (like Entrevaux) along the line; and this hotel was only a few minutes walk from the station. But it's not just about the location : the hotel itself is comfortable and well appointed, and the food is brilliant, served to a high standard in a classy dining room. If you can, go for the half board deal and eat dinner there every night : you'd be hard pressed to do better anywhere else, and certainly not at the price you are charged!
