I think the service was great all the staff were brilliant also. definitely come back to this hotel for our anniversary.I thought the only let down was the quality of the room as we was getting married so u thought the room would be better.
I did ask for up grade as this was a special occasion but I feel this was just a standard room.

My partner and I stayed at the Skiathos Princess in mid July for a week and had such a wonderful time together here.

The hotel is clean, welcoming and friendly and we definitely felt relaxed and at ease throughout the duration of our stay here.

We had a double room with a balcony that overlooked the well kept gardens and also the sea. The room was kept spotless for us everyday when we returned from breakfast and new towels were provided for us each day. My only quibble regarding our room was the bathroom which was a bit dated in comparison to the rest of the room and the tempremental shower which was either scalding hot or freezing cold, however this isn't something that massively bothered my partner or I.

Food at the hotel is good but somewhat restricted to other breakfast and dinner buffets I have previously visited at various hotels. Although one night we did decide to eat at the Churrasco restaurant and I can honestly say this is the best dining experience I have ever encountered, everything was perfect.

The private beach is beautiful, although I'm not entirely sure it is completely private! The only let down is the common sunbed problem. Many people would use the sunbeds and then leave for hours yet keep their towels on the sunbed, this was a frequent problem at this hotel so maybe some kind of rule could be implemented in order for every guest to get some use out of the sunbeds!

The staff at the hotel are friendly and efficient and are willing to help out in every circumstance. A special mention the the customer relations man who goes above and beyond to help you make the most out of your time in Skiathos.

This hotel and Skiathos are just perfect places to spend your holidays.

This was our first stay in a hotel normally staying in apartments it made a lovely change to get up and have a breakfast provided also standard of rooms was far superior to any of the apartment we have stayed in. Lovely location very convenient for visiting both ends of the island both

This was our second trip to the Princess Skiathos. Whilst the property looks the same in an ideal setting, the service was no where near 5 star.

The beds were incredibly uncomfortable until we mentioned something to the maid and she arranged for a topper to be brought in (day 5).

There was a consistent problem with the sun beds with people reserving beds from 6am, only to not occupy said beds until mid-afternoon. The hotel has changed the sun beds around the pool and subsequently there are only 12 - 16 beds around the children's pool area. There is a bar area in the pool area and on our previous trip, staff would circle the pool taking and delivering drinks orders etc. On this occasion, the staff hung around the bar, did not once take a drinks order from the pool area and no-one cleared up the rubbish (there are very few bins). Consequently, guests ended up strolling off to the beach hut (50metres away) to get much cheaper drinks, ice-creams and snacks (which beats Euro8 for a fruit juice anyway).

The kids' club is clearly an afterthought. There is merely one small room for 4-12 year olds with very few toys and that's it. The creche is in a basement room and is better kitted out however, there are very few organised activities and both areas close between 1pm and 3pm for the staff to have lunch (?!?!).

On our final day, we could not book for a late check-out and then when we asked for a complimentary room there were none available. Our taxi was booked for 4.00pm and yet the showers in the spa were only available from 12noon until 1.00pm. We ended up using another guest's room to get changed which we had to sort ourselves.

Finally there were a few greek guests who insisted on smoking cigars at breakfast. The tables 'outside' are basically the other side of the open doors which meant the eating areas were infected with cigarette and cigar smoke. We, and a few other guests, complained repeatedly to the manager (and indeed the greek guests - to no avail). The manager seemed very surprised to hear that you could even implement a 'hotel policy' of no cigars in dining areas and told us there was nothing he could do as the tables were outside and therefore it was legal.

To surmise, whilst the hotel remains very pretty, with excellent location, good rooms and a reasonable food selection at breakfast, the Skiathos Princess lacks the management, guidance and service ethos to make it a true 5star experience. Relatively disappointing.
