I was very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. There are a large variety of rooms available spread over seven levels, so there's something to suit everyone. There are two lifts which can get you around most of the hotel, but there are still plenty of steps that need to be tackled and a hill into the centre of the village and more importantly back up. (No footpath) The hotel is very individually and tastefully designed, which gives it a nice atmosphere. There are four restaurants (The main one for breakfast and buffet restaurant, the a la carte, the pool bar and the Tavern for lunch time). We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis as we prefer to go out in the evening. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety and all good quality. Dishes were continually topped up, so there were not times when somethings weren't available. We had lunch in the Tavern on two occasions, choosing the "special of the day" for ten euros and on both occasions found the quality to be excellent with the food cooked fresh. The beach isn't far away, but I would recommend going down to the bottom of the hill and down the access road, rather than the short cut, unless your a mountain goat!
Access to Skiathos Town is easy with local air conditioned coaches running every twenty minutes at a cost of 1 euro 60 each way until 1.00am. You catch it from the village centre.
Overall a wonderful experience and I would recommend this hotel to travellers.

The Atrium is as beautiful as the photos show, imaginatively designed & making good use of natural stone & wood. There are several lounges/relaxation areas, furnished with soft sofas & pale colours. Around the hotel are quirky decorative touches, such as old pans on a wall & school desks in the library/TV lounge.
The attractive bedrooms overlook the bay and are well furnished. Cleaning & towel replacement is carried out daily and there was always enough shower gel, lotion etc.
The hot & cold buffet breakfast is plentiful and dishes are replaced all the time. There was plenty of choice. Breakfast can be taken inside the cool dining room or outside by the pool. We were advised one morning by the waiter to take breakfast inside as there were wasps around that morning - thoughtful !
The walk to the beach takes less than ten minutes (& a little longer coming back uphill!). There are plenty of sunbeds for hire at the end of the beach. If you prefer a pool the hotel's pool is large and we were always able to get a sunbed (September). Drinks are available all day at the pool bar & we had a delicious lunch at the hotel's taverna one day.
I should have liked a hospitality tray in the room but am aware that this is rarely offered in European hotels. It was easy enough to take a cup of tea from the pool bar to the bedroom so not a major issue.
There are several good restaurants in the area (Maistrali & Platania's in particular) but the hotel's menu looked very good also. If you go out at night, a torch would be useful for the way back - one small area of the road is a bit dark.
All in all this was a fantastic holiday for us. The staff at the Atrium are fantastic. Everyone we met greeted us and were very smiley and friendly. I would not hesitate in recommending the Atrium. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view.

Recently returned from a week's stay at this lovely. Our room was very comfortable with a good terrace and wonderful sea view and very quiet! The hotel and amenities is very clean and different to other hotels in the way it is arranged. The staff and food were faultless and the pool area excellent with very comfortable sun beds. For the first four days the ambience at the pool was quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately a wedding party and they were loud and uncouth and totally spoilt the peace of the pool. I complained one day and again the next and the receptionist said they would definitely do something about these rowdy guests who were more suited to Faliraki or Malia! The next day, our last, it was very peaceful again. We shall stay again and I hope the hotel management and tour reps make it clear to large parties that they must respect the need for peace and quiet.

We've been going to Skiathos for five years, but this was our first stay at the Atrium, and we've already booked again for next year. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. We had a problem with the shower in our bathroom, and within a few hours it was fixed.

We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis, and glad we did. The breakfast is well stocked, and consists of a hot section (ie scrambled or fried eggs, bacon, etc), a selection of breads for toasting, a continental section and cereals and fresh fruit. Even the jam and marmalade for the toast is home made. As soon as anything was running low, it was replenished.

The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable, and a massive plus for us, the beds are actually comfortable! So often on Skiathos, the beds are so hard, like sleeping on a plank, but these beds, I understand, have recently been purchased, and were really comfortable. It makes such a difference to your holiday to have a good sleep.

The staff are fantastic, the bar staff are friendly and efficient, the cleaners polite and good, the reception staff really are welcoming, and the guys manning the onsite restaurants and breakfast etc are responsive and, again, friendly. I was also pleased to see the owner, Electra, coming in every morning, just checking the breakfast buffet was up to standard, and greeting guests. She was always available, without being "in your face", and when we fed back at the end of our stay, she described her own staff as the "stars", which was good to hear her appreciation of the guys that make the magic happen.

Room Tip: We were in room 309, which overlooks the sea, and weren't disturbed by any road noise.

We've been going for 20 years and still aren't tired of the Atrium or Skiathos. As we are getting older we wondered how we would do on the steps but found that it was absolutely fine as there is never any hurry. The hotel is built 'monastery' style and is very tranquil with lots of shady areas to walk back to your room. You can have a room with your own (small) pool or Jacuzzi or not, so there are lots of choices. It's in a quieter part of the island and the beach is just across the road, albeit a bit of an uphill return walk.
The food is excellent and there is an a la carte restaurant in the hotel as well as a buffet style restaurant for evening meals. The staff are lovely and couldn't be more helpful. You can easily hire a car or there is a bus stop nearby if you want to try other beaches or the town.
We love this place.

Room Tip: Some rooms have their own pool or jacuzzi
