Clavell's Café is in a superb setting in a beautiful unspoilt village with plentiful thatched cottages and 1 mile from Kimmeridge Bay. We did the 6 mile circular walk from the bay to Swyre Head and Clavell's Café was a lovely place to stop for tea and Dorset apple cake (with clotted cream!) Beautiful position and lovely old building with nice tea garden.

This is such a gem of a place deep in the Dorset countryside. Lovely local fresh produce, expertly prepared. So many choices on the menu and more with specials on the blackboard.

Good food in a lovely setting. We had the sharing larder platter which was delicious, generous and beautifully presented. I also had a chocolate brownie, also very good. The cafe itself is very pretty and welcoming and the staff helpful and friendly. Our only disappointment was it was a little too chilly to sit outside. Great for combining with a coast path walk. Would go back any time.
