I was on a work trip and needed to stay the night. This hotel was recommended to me and according to trip advisor it is the best in the area. Checked in and front desk service was ok. The room was pretty clean. The air conditioner was good and helped to make me sleep. The bed was very hard as were the pillows. The room has windows to the corridor which is open to parking lot. You could hear all the noise outside this the window is not soundproof. All in all for a small town hotel in the center of town it is an ok place. The price not expensive. It has small restaurant which serves all day.

I have stayed numerous times at Hotel Andrea. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms have always been clean and the beds always firm. This stay was very disappointing with Room #1. The only window opens to the laundry area (so the curtains remained closed), the noise from the staff and washing machines was constant, the room was tiny and the fixtures were old. The bed was firm and the air worked well, but this room should not be rented at the same cost. When I complained, they offered me another room when it was available. No comparison! Another great stay at a great location. Just stay away from Room #1.

Probably the best choice in Cuidad Neily and well maintained for what looks like an older hotel. Located in the center of town, it is close to all shopping Rooms are OK and have a small frig. Beds were comfortable and the AC quiet.
Showers did not have hot water during the day time. Includes a breakfast that is not great.

Well made a choice to travel further down past the Osa Peninsula and we would then try to stay in a town called Neily. We finally found a hotel that had 2 rooms. They were reasonably priced and clean. They each had 4 twin beds, small table and 2 chairs and a bathroom with a shower and the most important feature was they had A/C units. We also paid a few dollars more for their breakfast in the morning. Once we were settled we went down to the open air restaurant and had dinner which was okay. We took these 2 rooms as we were tired and didn't want to drive any further but they were right next to the busy street and therefore very noisy. If you call or book a room on line make sure to ask for a room away from the street. The gal at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful and the wait staff in the restaurant were very attentive. Sorry to say there was no pool to cool off in!

Room tip: Don't book room numbers 30-35 as they are near enough to a very busy street to make sleep harder.

My husband and I stopped at the Hotel Andrea's restaurant during a five-hour border jump from Panama to Costa Rica. (We bused over to Ciudad Neily rather than kill time at Paso Canoas). Although we didn't stay at the hotel, it looked clean and charming and the prices weren't super-cheap, but still doable. We ate at the open-air restaurant. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning--just fans--at the restaurant. Other than that, we enjoyed huge cheeseburgers loaded with toppings and cooked the way we like. They came with french fries and we ordered coffee. The service was good, but we tried to order a milkshake but the flavors we wanted weren't available. This hotel and restaurant is in a great location in this small city, and right across from the bus stop so it's super-convenient. Would we return? Most likely, as we come to the area a couple of times a year.
