The service from staff was amazing it was our anniversary and they made up the table every night. the food was pretty good for the price at the hotel Liberia we did ge for one rib one night so that was nice! The hotel itself is so beautiful . I wish this hotel did room service though, because we had a hard
Time finding something to eat when we had a 7am tour pickup and breakfast didn’t start until 7am. We wound up saving fruit and croissants from dinner the night before to eat for breakfast. I would recommend doing the ATV tour from the beach it was 70/pp and was a 3 hour ride with a waterfall stop honestly a big highlight in our trip.

This place is an absolute dump! Not sure how it has 4 stars.
From the exterior, the place looks fine. Once Inside, you can see that it’s a bit dated, but no big deal. Get to the room and reality sets in!
The room is stuck in 1990. The bedding hasn’t been changed in 20+ yrs. The blanket drapes on to the floor as if they have a king size blanket on a queen size mattress.
They do not provide shampoo, conditioner or lotion. No bag in the trash can. Chrome has been worn off of all bathroom fixtures. If you’re hoping for nice, plush towels, think again. You’ll get worn, course brown towels. The fridge was stocked with a single water and single orange soda. 4 bottles of no name liquor hanging from the wall, but only orange soda and water to mix them with?!? The balcony furniture consists of 1 plastic table and 2 plastic chairs that have been spray painted. The bathroom had 8 inches of black water sitting in one of the sinks.
We asked for a different room and were given keys to a different room, but were informed that all rooms were the same.
No card to swipe in to your room. You’ll get a bulky keychain and keys. You will get a card to get get towels at the pool and you do not return the card, it is $20 a piece.
There are 5 restaurants in the resort, but only the buffet was opened when we were there. Pool area smelled awful. They closed the pool at 6pm the day we were there.
I’m surprised this is still considered a 4 star resort.

Needless to say, we cut our stay short and moved to a different hotel.

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. There are too many other options!

The staff members were not nice at all. All outlets in our room seemed to have previously experienced electrical damage. The ocean view that we paid extra for was in fact no ocean view at all. All food on this resort was bad (either cold or undercooked).

I did not feel safe. Room doors have neither a chain lock nor a deadbolt to prevent the doors from being opened from the outside. I had thought that hotel employees would be professional enough not to take advantage of this, so imagine my surprise when at about 10:20PM a hotel employee attempted to get into my room. No knock. No housekeeping announcement. He simply used his key to try to open the hotel door of a single female traveler, did not respond to me asking him through the door who was trying to enter, and only stopped when I grabbed the lock on the other side of the door, thus preventing him from moving the key any further. He then claimed that he got the wrong room and that he was “delivering towels” despite having nothing in his hands besides a key.
Complaints to the front desk were returned with excuses, at which point they then claimed he was there to deliver “lotion”, thus changing the story. Additionally, the front desk said that no hotel manager was available at the time; a lack of a night manager is not exactly comforting, especially when employees have an apparent free reign of the building with master keys and nothing to stop them from going into any room at any time.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food was from good to very good. The property is beautiful and was big enough to explore over the 4 days we were there. Overall, very good! October was a good time to go because the weather was decent and not as many crowds.
