After reading great reviews, we decided to try this for lunch. On a lovely fall day, we were happy to see they were still open for lunch and serving outdoors. Most restaurants in this small paese consisting of Arrone, Ferentillo, Montefranco, Monterivoso, fraziones of Terni in Umbria, serve vino alla casa (wine of the house) at very reasonable prices. 3-6E per 1/2-1 liter and it is excellent. Even the upscale restaurants offer this. But not here-we had to order a 1/2 bottle of some cheap, lousy wine at 7E.
I ordered gnocchi (reasonably priced at 9E). They were obviously store bought-hard like bullets. The salad was also obviously from a bag with store bought terrible tomatoes. Hubby ordered polenta with truffles. Polenta was also store bought. 4 thin perfectly shaped slices. He enjoyed the truffles. My thoughts are that since this is also a B and B, they stay open for lunch/dinner since they need to be there. Very disappointed. Try DaRema, Piermarini, baccifeminelle, LaMola.
