Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Brewery tours run Monday to Sunday, starting from the Visitors Centre, they last approximately 2 hours. The first 1½ hours are spent around the brewery where you'll see our original steam engine, learn about our history and how we make our range of delicious beers. Once outside the Brewery, don't forget to keep an eye out for our working Shire horses, which still deliver beer to our local pubs. If you are planning a visit to the brewery and would like to see the drays on their regular delivery rounds it is always best to phone ahead and check that the shires will be working on that day. In any event, the tour of the brewery includes a tour of the stables so you won’t miss out on seeing these amazing animals. Upon completion of the tour, it's back to our sampling bar in the Visitor Centre for a ½ hour beer tasting. It is essential to book a Brewery Tour by contacting us on the phone or email. Cost: £14.50 per person, £12.00 concessions

Really enjoyable afternoon, being shown around by the guide,Peter.
Everything you ever want to know about beer brewing.
The history of the brewery was very interesting.
The shire horses,Churchill,Major and Napoleon were amazing to see in their stables.
We had actually seen them pulling the dray at countryfile live at Blenheim Palace last year.
The beer tasting in the cellar bar was a highlight. Then you get a free commerative hook norton glass.

I'm not much of a beer drinker but this place was fantastic. From start to finish I couldnt fault it. We got there early and decided to have breakfast in the malthouse kitchen which was really tasty (especially the sausages).
The staff were friendly, the price of the tour was very reasonable and our guide Leon was brilliant just the right amount of humor and information to keep you interested. The place itself was amazing a proper working brewery which still used so many of the traditional methods and machinery (with some modern touches). The horses were lovely and friendly. Then when the 1 1/2 hour tour was over you get to taste all the beers!!!!! To top it off when you've had your 1/2 hour in the bar trying their delights you take your high vis tabard back to the shop counter and get a free commemorative glass!!!! What else could you ask for? A must see if your in the area

This tour is a must for those interested in breweries. We visited the brewery in March 2018. An excellent tour, very friendly staff, plus very welcome samples at the end of the tour. Our tour guide, Chris, was very knowledgable of the brewing processes and made it sound very interesting. Plenty of beers available from the shop plus many souvenirs.
Excellent to see traditional brewing methods still in use today, as well as the Shire Horses still being used for local deliveries.
Thank you Hook Norton. Keep up the good work.

Historic, 119 year old steam engine, shire horses, traditional, fantastic tour guide.
You can book to brew your own beer in the mini brewery, the food is great and just a very enjoyable day out.
