Booked a couple of days away as soon as corona virus restriction easing confirmed; seems others had same idea as we got last available room for dates we wanted.

Our room was in The Lodge and the layout was quirky, rather steep narrow stairs and, in room, steps down to bathroom. This is not a complaint, I'm all for quirky rather than bland. It's just how it is - dictated by the layout of an old character building. Maybe we'll try the main house or courtyard next time to see what they're like.

Service exemplary, food excellent and it's fairly local for us, so not wasting a day or half-day travelling. Plenty of good walks from the doorstep or nearby plus the various Peak District sights. If you are a cheese lover there are good specialist shops in Hartington and Ashbourne.

Recommended - we'll be back.

Firstly, the staff were consistently friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and efficient - thank you!

The hotel is in a very attractive old building in a great rural setting, with lovely views and gardens with many quirky but low key features. Our room (18) was in an attached building, was characterful and had good facilities, including a bath that was very welcoming after a good Peak District hike! (If we had to offer one criticism, the more awkward bits of the bathroom could have been cleaner and we passed this on to the staff, as constructive feedback.) The food in the restaurant was consistently excellent and well presented. Dinners were imaginative, well presented and tasty. The breakfast selection was comprehensive and freshly made.

In summary, we had a great time and highly recommend the hotel.

Visiting with friends for the first time without doubt we will return.
All the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. It can be difficult
at times to please everyone on each course of the meal but every
part of the meal was very well presented and extremely good food.
Thank you.

A friend recommended the food here so i thought why not make a weekend of it. We arrived on friday early evening and left late sunday morning and felt that we had been there much longer. The surrounding area is beautiful views and very peaceful.
From our arrival to our departure we were looked after by extremely friendly and courteous staff. Very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean. The food was creative and wonderful (we had the indulgence menu on the saturday night). Izzy was fabulous for this. Lots of little special moments that made our stay more special. Am not going to list them as it would ruin your suprise.
Lovely walking right on the doorstep.
Can not recommend enough and although "only down the road" from home i shall definitely be going again very soon.
Thank you to all the staff t biggin hall hotel you madd our stay special.

Where do I start, such a wonderful experience and enjoyable 3 night stay at Biggin Hall Country House for our Wedding. The Wedding Suite was incredible, the food and hospitality 5 star and Manager Andy and his Team went over and above to make our big day run like clockwork and feel super special!

The beautiful garden provided a lovely outdoor ceremony and plenty of photo back-drops. Our accommodation was immaculately clean, comfortable and elegant. All the food provided, including the breakfast and free pack-up for your day-time adventures was of the highest quality. The building itself is beautiful and the 3 day celebrations were incredibly well catered for; an enormous thank you to Andy and the team!!

We will be back!! Mr and Mrs Kierman.
