What a great little hotel. The prices were amazing. The staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean. The breakfast was very filling. I had a Executive King room and it was humongous. Opening windows are a nice touch and the desk was a nice topper.

I will definatly stay here again. If you need a good place near the airport, it is not far. And if you like Chinese food, well trust me, there is lots of places. Skytrain is very near as well!

Thank you again to the staff.

Landed during a rainstorm. We called the hotel and the shuttle picked us up promptly. Many restaurants nearby as well as a large indoor shopping mall. Short walk to subway in order to go to downtown Vancouver. The breakfast was alright. Offered hard boiled eggs. No bacon or Sausage. You can cook your own hot waffles. I was able to go swimming in the small pool and use the hotub spa there. Tried to use exercise equipment but the settings took time to set up. Would stay there again. our room was near a boiler but had no hot water part of the time. Noise from boiler in the morning. Our room was near a busy street and you can hear cars going by at late night.

La Quinta Richmond, B.C.
We stayed two nights at this La Quinta in the suburbs of Vancouver, B.C. and enjoyed free parking. We have stayed in the inner city before, but don’t like paying the wild parking charges that can be as high as $30/day CDN. On this trip, we planned to take the sky train into the city to take in the sights and shopping, but we never did make it due to two days of constant hard rainfall. Instead, we shopped at the Richmond IKEA store and participated in a large bridge game in Crescent Beach.
We were greeted by a friendly and helpful desk clerk and were given Room 204, an end room overlooking the parking lot and away from the worst street noise. When the rain finally stopped on the checkout day, we realized there was a nice view of the mountains. Our room had a lovely oval writing desk/work station. There was also a comfy reading chair with lamp, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. There was also a tiny refrigerator and a coffee maker.
The free breakfast is what one expects at La Quinta, and was located in a pretty space with art work and easy access. The wifi was also free, a little bit slower than we are used to, but perfectly useable.
Something to be aware of: there are no nearby grocery stores. There are plenty of Asian restaurants within walking distance, some of which do not take credit cards, and some that require a $50 minimum purchase to use a card. (This was a pain when my husband walked out in the pouring rain for some takeout.) The hotel has no restaurant.
This La Quinta is best for travelers who need close access to the airport, and the hotel provides a free shuttle service. This was not the case for us on this trip. We would stay here again if using the Vancouver airport, but otherwise, we would look for someplace with a greater variety of restaurants and grocery stores.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main street noise. #204 is good.

Hotel is reasonably priced and very convenient to the airport. The pool and hot tub were great. I would've liked to have the breakfast, but it did not open until 7 AM and we had an early flight. As many people are staying there to be close to the airport and likely have early flights, breakfast should start a little earlier. The bed was very comfortable but, unfortunately, no cribs or playpens were available for our infant.

Room was very roomy and well equipped. Household staff did an excellent job. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of foods and the attendee looking after the buffet and area did a super job. Definitely my hotel of choice in Vancouver.
