Just to the east of Osoyoos via climbing switchbacks is this stunning lookout. It was a well setup pullover area and gave a tremendous outlook over Osoyoos and also north and south of it. We could just make out mountains where the US border would be. We could also see snow capped mountains behind the western hills of Osoyoos. It was a great spot.
The road has a concrete divider here so if you want to return to Osoyoos you need to continue on a short distance before turning around.

I recommend you take Highway 97 East out of Osoyoos, it is approximately 10 minutes up and quite windy but the view is amazing.

Enough space to walk around and get a good picture.

After your done your picture taking keep going another 30 minutes to the Kettle Valley. Very nice area where you can tube down the slow moving river. Excellent start and stop points where you only need 1 vehicle and much cleaner then floating down the Penticton Ditch.

This drive can seem scary, but if you drive in control and go slow it isn't bad at all. I would continue up to the top where the neighbourhoods are marked with different animal statues. Great for pictures. Sasquatch, cougar, ect.

I could sit here all day, looking out at osoyoos and the lakes. Great highway for motorbikes too, some really nice bends to get low and enjoy
