We were fortunate enough to have been able to stay here last minute, when we had to leave another hotel we had booked because of poor conditions.

While the room was nothing terribly fancy, it was clean, comfortable and all we needed for an enjoyable stay. The breakfast area was really great, providing a variety of hot and cold options. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent one night - booked 3 rooms. All rooms were fine. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is highway traffic noise. The breakfast provided was good. Lots to choose from. Check in went well, even though it was a busy time.

For all the Choice Privileges members out there, who expect at least a "smile" to greet them in return for their loyalty, you best stay clear of this place. Whereas the front desk manager was not rude, he certainly was not very friendly either. This particular hotel, unlike almost every other Choice property out there, does not specify if a room is a drive up, or on the ground floor, etc. Some of us have our preferences and we spend a lot of money to have these preferences. I asked for a "drive up" in the special request section of the booking. I arrived a bit early (1 pm as opposed to 3 pm) and asked to check in early. The front desk manager said he would check to see if there were any rooms ready (of the type of room I had booked). He checked and said there were and that I could check in early. I then asked if it was a drive up and he checked again and said he had no drive ups available at the moment and that I would have to wait until check in (3 pm). I said that was fine. Suddenly he changed his mind and there were no drive up rooms for the type I had booked. So much for the complimentary upgrade (if available) for elite diamond. Thank God I don't stay here that often. I would use another loyalty program if I was treated like this with the sudden change of mind. I have a few bookings there coming up in the next few months which I am about to cancel momentarily. I wont be staying there again unless there is a change in front desk management, nor will any of my staff.

Good overall quality for this price.

The negative point is about dishes: in the room only plastic cup and for breakfast as well, there is only carton plates and plastic cup and utensils. That is so bad, so much waste... It is too much of waste. I am not an environment activist, but for an hotel like this, having only disposable dishes, it is not a great thing.

I will not return to this hotel just for that, and I hope they will change this. This is why I am posting a bad review.

After deciding to see a second play in the evening we decided to stay near St. Jacobs and go the next day to the town and market. We booked this hotel through booking.com and as we would be arriving late we wanted a reasonable rate. The hotel exceeded our expectations it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The stay came with a very reasonable continental breakfast. The drive to St, Jacobs was about 12 minutes.

Room tip: Ask for a room away from the highway.
