Our family of 5 loved this!! From sitting aboard the train, to the golden train ticket, to the cookies and hot chocolate, this won my family over. The staff were all very friendly and made the experience just like the movie.
At the North Pole we visited with Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorated gingerbread cookies and rode a miniature train. A great day and well worth the drive out!

We arrived in Squamish on a very snowy Saturday evening for our adventure to the North Pole with our 5 year old granddaughter. The experience was AMAZING! We were in between trains so the 'North Pole' was pretty empty when we arrived & the experience was wonderful!!

On Sunday our granddaughter said, "I have never been to the North Pole and am SO happy you took me Nonna"!! She will remember this for many years to come!! Thank you to all the staff from the 'Golden Ticket Giver to the guys manning the bouncy house'!!!

It took an hour to get there. Beautiful drive with scenery and it was snowing. Train behind schedule. Very little xmas decorations on it or inside. Was given a cookie right away. Had 3 actors come down aisle and made kids giggle. Train drove about 1 half mile. Then returned to go back to station. Given a hot chocolate on ride back and sang 3 xmas songs. All in all about 25 minutes in train. Extremely boring for children and adults! There were activities for the kids at station that was fun especially decorating a gingerbread cookie. It was nice with the snow but I would not recommend this and wouldn't do it again! It could have been done so much better!

I wanted to love this so much. Our family of 4 (kids aged 3 and 1) went up for the 2pm ride. We got on the train- so excited, the train went forward at 10km/h, we got cookie, the train went backward 10km/h, we got a hot chocolate, we sang Christmas carols, and we got off.

THATS IT! No lights to look at outside or decorations, we saw some houses, lots of garbage, an inlet and that was it. The train doesnt even go anywhere.

I will say that the conductor and staff on the train were great, you could tell they loved their job and put the effort in.

The activities afterwords were ridiculous, toy train making, coloring, see santa and mrs clause (2 hr line up), bouncy castle, a train car kids could go in and honk the horn.

I had such high hopes we planned our whole day around this, and $100 later plus gas (from Abbotsford) and parking it was a total waste. Next year we are doing the holiday festivities at grouse mtn.

We just returned home from a magical day riding the Polar Express to the North Pole! Everything was wonderful! We really enjoyed exploring all of the things outside before boarding the train - seeing the hobo, Billy's house, listening to Christmas carollers, and checking out some of the trains in the yard. Boarding the train was very smooth, and the ride was great! We got to interact with characters from the movie, got our golden tickets punched, had hit chocolate & a cookie, and got to sing Christmas songs. The North Pole set up was great - the kids loved the mini train and decorating gingerbread cookies! The volunteers have really gone above and beyond to help make this event amazing!
