This was a celebratory trip through British Columbia and Alberta. Our stay at Eagle Ranch was our first night after leaving Calgary Airport. The first impressions were a rustic ranch like appearance in the mountains. The expectations were for a “nice accommodation “ a good meal, and a relaxing start to our trip. Our expectations were blown away as we stepped into the check in area of the main building. A very powerful view of the dining room, and the valley beyond. Registration attendant “Gabby” was welcoming and informative. The next stop was entering our room. The exterior is a modest environmentally friendly view in quiet darker colours. Once you open the door, you see an amazing 5 star accommodation with light wood, a glass wall looking out at mountains, a valley and Adirondack chairs in front of a propane fire pit. You also immediately notice a gorgeous soaker tub and a very high end bathroom. We settled in and then headed to the dining area for our evening meal. Greeted by Helen, a long time employee and hostess. Within a few questions she quickly calculated what area to seat us in and discovered the celebratory nature of our trip. That information was shared with the servers and wait staff to make our evening very special. The server was also well experienced in drawing out our food interests or allergies and then making great suggestions in wine and meal choices....This was a celebratory trip through British Columbia and Alberta. It was an overall fabulous stay, in an unassuming and welcoming location. We highly recommend this accommodation for a casual stay, a celebration or a group trip such as a golf group, or a getaway for a bachelor or bridal group. We did not have plans to golf, however I will put it on my list of places to come back to!More
