Previous reviews paint accurate picture. Clean, ocean views, rules etc. I have not ever stayed in the Lighthouse section... so can't comment. Be aware that the sites in the rest of the park are not all created equal. They make an effort to put each guest in a suitable spot whe booking and make no secret that the sites are not all the same, and that they prefer to have larger rigs in the front row sites. The place did go quiet at night as it is well patrolled and when we were there some loud voices needed to be reminded, which they were reminded (by staff) and they did quiet down. Pool area has large deck area and small-ish pool too shallow to dive in. There are trees here, which is great, and they have be navigated around (again, this is fine) but they do have tree roots and leveling your unit can be difficult if you don't come prepared.

So it's fine, safe, clean and well maintained but as a weekender you feel like an outsider as they have many longer term campers and this seems to be the clientele the resort would prefer. You can not advance book less than a three night stay, so weekends are out with the exception of long weekends. I spoke to them about that and their solution is to drop in and hope there is a site available. Yeah right! I am not packing up everything and my family after work on Friday drive half way up Island and hope we have somewhere to stay????? The second solution was to call Friday morning and check availability / make booking that morning because for the same day arrival its no longer an advance booking....(maybe---Hey kids, we MIGHT be going camping this weekend?)

Obviously my only major disappointment is the inability to book weekends, but that is their prerogative and business plan so so be it. Otherwise previous reviews about cover it (except the super glowing-awesome ones. It nice enough, but far from out of this world)

Nice clean RV resort. The view is beautiful of the ocean, Quadra Island and cruise ships as they pass by. The marina is shallow at the entrance and tide levels need to be monitored to gain its access.

This place had disgusting food and even worse service. The manager, Monica, is the rudest women I've ever met!! She does not like pets, so please be careful and that's all I'm going to say about that. On top of that, they lied to us about which site we were getting, and then tried to charge us a full price for downgrading due to their error. When my husband and I argued this, Monica literally yelled at us.

Do yourself a favour and don't believe the "good" reviews they make their staff post. Disgusting

My wife and I had two opportunities to enjoy this lovely spot last weekend. The outside deck is on right on the shore of Georgia Straight with a breathtaking view of the coastal mountain range over on the mainland. With a stunning array of local seafood favorites there's something to get anyone's mouth watering. Our server Michael was a lovely gal with lots of stories and advice about what to see on the area, and what is good and fresh on the menu. All around excellent value and wonderful view!

This is a fairly large RV park located right on the ocean just outside of Campbell River. It is super well-appointed with a pool, hot tub, comunal firepits, laundry, a marina & restaurant. It's extrememly clean and tidy. Sites are all on the grass but seemed fairly level. There 2 main areas in the park - the 'Main' park and the 'Lighthouse' park. The Lighthouse part is a smaller area with all the sites backing onto the ocean. They seemed to be pretty full of long-term RV'ers. The 'main' part is the largest part with spots for big rigs ... but they seemed to also be full of longer term people ... although we did see a few come vacant while we were there. The rest of the sites are fairly crowded and we just fit our 28' Class C with a bit of a space in front of the unit to park our tow car. Certainly no room to fit it next to our unit - and we don't have any slides! So you don't come here to have a nice spot to sit out at night ... you're literally looking directly into the back of someone elses' spot who're also sitting out ... unless you like to be fairly chummy with people. Nevertheless, it's clean, convenient and reasonably priced ($48/night full hookup with good wi-fi). I do not recommend the restaurnat however. Nice views but marginal food.
