We loved this restaurant. The service and food were superior.
Auberge and Spa Beaux Reves have an arrangement with this restaurant to provide a 5 course meal for their guests at a very reasonable price. Wow!

Chez Milot was chosen as a place to meet for two groups from different bicycling routes as it was very near the Mount Rolland station on the Petit Train du Nord. We had chosen it because of good reviews and being one of the few places open on a Monday. We were so pleasantly surprised to find a lovely veranda is on a quiet street and the seating very comfortable. They were able to modify for gluten sensitivities. Best of all the food quality was amazing and the service impeccable and personal. A great place to recharge before finishing our bicycling back to our hotel in Sainte Agathe Des Monts.

The early bird special (5-7pm) is a great deal. 4 course menu; soup, appetizer, main and dessert. All food was very good. I was not crazy about the cream soup but others enjoyed it. Mussel appetizer was good (not excellent). I had the veal kidneys...not an easy dish/taste but prepared nicely. Then very chocolate-y brownie while my wife had the lemon tart. Brownie was pretty gooey (yummy for me) and the lemon tart tasted a bit store bought but that could have been in error.

We had a reservation at 7:00 pm on a Saturday night. We got our soups at 7:45 and by 8:45 we had still not gotten our main course. To make it worse the waiter was extremely rude and unapologetic. When we called over the manager he argued with us. He said" It's Saturday night. You should be relaxed and not care if the food is a little late."

With an attitude like that who cares what the food is like. They tried to charge us for the full meal. We paid only for the starters. Caesar salad, which was soggy. Vegetable soup that was watery. Escargot came cold.

My advice, get yourself a great bottle of wine and cook something at home. This place is not worth the aggravation.

We have been spending summers in Ste Adele for the past 20 years and have been very impressed with the positive changes at Chez Milot. The food quality has improved as has the level of service. The early menu is very good value for the cost and provides a wonderful array of dishes.
