Worst place I have ever stayed. The room smelled terriable. The bed was like sleeping on a mattress of only springs. Our daughter got a rash from swimming in the pool. Staff did not explain towels will not be replaced or room cleaned daily. Very dated and tired looking. Pictures on web site are several years old and the breakfast that is included is a joke. We left before our stay was up.
We stayed for 2 and 1/2 days the pools were cold, across the street construction is going on, the gift shop reeked of animal urine, and the place was definitely not a Spa. Stay there if you have to for financial reasons. I forgot an expensive chain and calendar behind that the cleaner never found be careful!
Don't understand all the negative reviews! This place is great, clean, friendly staff. Quiet, peaceful, nicely groomed grounds, 2 swimming pools, terrace, although breakfast is limited, Colonial Resort is worth the money. Would stay again!!!!!
Unfortunately this place has declined significantly! The previous owners had true pride in ownership! Not so true anymore! Dirty, water damage, moldy, broken furniture and bugs! Terribly neglected with staff oblivious to any issues!!
We made the error of staying here!
On arrival we received terrible welcome by check in staff - more interested in their phone than dealing with guests, had to request individual to put down phone and come to counter - never have I had to do this in all my many years of travel.
Room ok - tired/dated
Breakfast was non existent very poor selection , we were the only ones sitting in and places had not been cleared, very messy, thick cobwebs on decor.
We spoke to others who were staying more than 1 night and they reported things went missing from their room.
The disappointing thing is that this could be a nice place with a bit of effort but the current owner/staff appear to have no interest in doing so.
