We were lucky enough to visit and ski Kimberley Alpine Resort during a winter storm, which resulted in tons of fresh powder! We didn't have to wait in line for the chair lifts. There is a good variety of runs that would make every level/type of skier happy!

My only complaint is that the runs are very poorly labelled as you head down the mountain. You will reach a fork and have no idea which one to choose and where you might end up (this is a bit concerning when skiing with young children of different abilities).

Nice hill. Well taken care of. Need to remove rocks from the run. The day ski lodge was nice but not able to see the skiers coming down the hill. I would recommend for anyone who likes to take their family skiing.

If you're not one for the crowds and high prices of the more well known resorts elsewhere in the province and south of the border, then Kimberley is the place for you. I love how much of a local feel this resort has, yet all the amenities for an extended stay visitor are readily available. There is an on mountain sport school, rental shop, retail store, and several half decent places to eat so you can come here and enjoy a few days or a full week or more of skiing and still never get your fill as each day you anticipate which runs were groomed, which are still left with prior days' skiied powder or whatever!

Firstly the great things...The Ski Instructor my son had was fantastic, really encouraging and positive. The food at both places to eat was really good. The service from the Ski shop was great.
Renting equipment took an age before we even got to the stage of getting the equipment. We had very little help with the boots for my son despite us telling them we knew nothing about skiing and not able to say whether NZ shoe size and Canadian are similar. As a consequence the instructor brought him back to get another pair of boots missing over 20 min of his lesson. The second pair of boots were a bad fit too.
It was a good morning, nice atmosphere.

Nice managable skiresort for families and people who like it quiet. Would have been way better with more snow, but won't blame that on the skihill. Gives you plently runs for powdering, but you better get out in the morning.
Only four stars, because i had the feeling that they took their time with the terrainpark and took more care with the slopes. The deal with the RCR card seems very reasonable for people who are staying longer than a week and have a car to go to fernie or other!
