Our room was large and clean. We were upgraded to the central portion of the motel so we would be viewing the shore straight on. We asked for an extra blanket and two were supplied. It was a quiet location, easy to park and perfect for walking along the shore. Fixtures are dated (thermostat, bathroom etc) but all in good working order.

Room tip: middle rooms on the second floor offer the best view of the shore, but all are good.

Stayed in a water side end room which was clean with ok bed. Killer view & small deck overlooking the water. Kitchen. Nice large courtyard isolated from the street.
BUT,
Smoking is allowed on the grounds or at least not mentioned in the rules. The room not air conditioned but as long as the sliding doors are open there was a nice breeze.
Cigarette smoke from the courtyard wafted through the room along with country music. We will go elsewhere next time.
Note: rumor has it the place will be torn down this winter.

.

Room tip: end rooms 2nd floor best view. Less road noise

On ground floor right by the beach/water. Room was nice, older of course but worked very well. Nice bed, slept well. Nice for a family vacation I would think. 4-5 days. Fridge, sink ice. All you need.

Room tip: Corner bottom was good but would have preferred upstairs facing the water.

we arrived in the mid afternoon, and were surprised at the condition of this hotel. It is old and quite dated, but the view is unbeatable. The rooms are clean but he carpets are stained and the bathrooms are really, really old. The front desk fellow was very nice and gave us some good ideas for things to do close by and how to get there. I am of two minds for this hotel as it was cozy and a perfect location, and old and rundown.
We spoke to the fellow at the desk on checkout and told him of some of our concerns. He was obviously aware of the drawbacks and told us that the hotel will be bulldozed in Jan or Feb, to make way for a new Hotel. The have 400 feet of oceanfront, so I think it will be fantastic once it is built, but I wonder if I will be able to afford it then?

Room tip: all rooms face the ocean, but the rooms parallel to the road get more shade in the evening....

I have been stsying here since a cfhild, seen the place change hands a few times, and the palce has never been reallu upgrades. The ocean views are right out your open window designed rooms, with a patio. Although the place was dirty, and smelt musty and like old amoked in rooms. There were cob webs in the corners ofv the room and the bathroom, and many psoders, dust bunnies on the front of the blinds. Place needed a paint job, cant brleive it passes inspection. Definetly, not worth $172. And some change a night. The owner that wroks here and also at the beach house rest nex t door is only nice until he gets you in, very strange place, almost scary. Anyhow, look around, and always ask to see a room before paying to get a feel of the place.

Room tip: Beautiful views if you like camping with bugs, dirt, and a bed time curfew.
