“Fun day cooling off”

Splash Island Water Park
Reviewed 14 November 2015

Had lots of fun on the slides. They have very good lifeguards who really watch people in the pool.

There were lots of mosquitoes, especially on the grass where most people need to sit (bring a chair).

I had a slip accident on the water slide while getting on with my son. I was injured, and a couple of staff members did try to help, but for a high volume play area where stuff like this can happen the staff were not very knowledgeable about how to care for an accident and a first aid kit was non existent if something happens. They didn't even have proper ice packs. I was handed ice from a tray in a ziplock bag. I did fill out a report as to what happend but I have not received any calls from management to see if everything's ok or not. Nice place to go, lots of fun to be had by all, don't get me wrong! But they need to train their staff a lot better!

Our grandkids had a great time here together with us (the grandparents) and their parents. There's not a whole lot that the littlest ones can do, but as long as they are with an adult, it's great fun. My granddaughter was disappointed that she couldn't slide on her own because she didn't meet the height requirement - she is an excellent swimmer and doesn't need supervision. However, she seemed to be mostly content to slide with an adult, but felt a little "babyish" because she was required to do so. During our time there the pool had to be shut down because someone had thrown up, but within 45 minutes the facility was re-opened and we were allowed to stay an extra 1/2 hour after official closing time. The staff was more than prompt in getting information to us during that time.

Lots of fun!! Lots of control over the water slides so accidents can be avoided. Great pool for little ones too. Pool was perfect temperature. Lots of spots with shade to sit in. Only thing is there is a grate at the bottom of the pool at the end of the one water slide so you have to be careful not to land too hard there.

This is more of a Waterpark for families with kids. Not for just older teens and up. Slides were pretty fun though. Only 2 slides.
