A nightmare from the beginning. Wrong number of beds, faulty electricity, toilets overflow...We asked for service but never got it, TV older than us and very small. Maid unlocked door and came in without permission

We stayed in one of the cottages and chose this location as it was close to the Botanical Gardens. The cottage was very outdated, lacked charm and comfort. The furnishings need to be updated for the bulky pine to something more with today. The pool was not usable as it was disgustingly dirty.... the walls and bottom were green! The place was clean and lots of hot water however, wall plugs would not work, hard to see as the cottage was dark with limited lighting. As it was only for one night, we stayed but would not recommend the cottages to anyone
My son and I stayed in the motel at the Auburge. Other than an old TV, the room and grounds were great. Price included an outdoor pool and a gym, but not breakfast.
the Botanical Gartdens were just down the road and the facility was just off the divided highway.
We paid a little extra to stay in the 3-dormer cottage in this photo. It and the other 4 cottages include kitchenettes. The once-charming Appalachian pine furnishings have seen better days. The bed and bedding should be upgraded for comfort. Lighting was poor; could not find a good source for reading after dark. Unit was basically clean, except for the floor which needed sweeping. Bathroom was cramped; no shelf for toiletries at the sink. It was not worth the extra money. However, the rows of standard motel units may be a better value.
