Booked 3-nights for the Canada Day long-weekend with my wife and kids (5yrs, 1.5yrs). We regularly go to Mont Tremblant in the summer, and prefer to stay in the resort village area where this hotel is located in walking distance to all the activities, gondolas, concerts, restaurants & shops.

This was our 2nd time at this hotel, but first with our kids. Overall summary is:

- type of room: got room with queen bed and sofa bed + crib - had a small kitchenette to cook your own food (which we did to save $$ on expensive restaurants in the area)

- hotel room: quite small for 4 people and a little dated (cabin-style interior since it is mainly a winter ski resort hotel), however it served its purpose for us of beds/crib to sleep at night, kitchen to cook, washroom/bathtub to freshen up, and strolling distance from all the Canada Day action and resort kids activities

- hotel amenities: nice clean indoor hot tub, tiny outdoor hot pool, and an outdoor pool (need to walk 1-minute on a rock step pathway, so be sure to wear shoes or non-slip flip-flops) and lots of towels always available to just grab and use. So that was a fun daily activity for us and the kids
- Parking: there is indoor parking at the hotel (extra $ or you can try calling hotel ahead of time and they might waive it off if you explain you have young kids/stroller/etc..)
- Service: front reception service staff were cheerful, quick and accomodating to our questions (Merci beaucoup ladies!). One minor issue was that our room was not cleaned for one of the days, but it ended up paying off - since they offered 5% discount/night for days you put a sign on the door to not get cleanup (note- we hadn't put the sign, our room was just simply missed by the cleaning staff - still....no big deal)

Overall, this was a great family trip if only simply because of the weather, kids activities, music performances, nice people, pools, and absolutely breathtaking scenery and views of Mont Tremblant - an absolute Canadian gem not only during the snow-covered skiing winter season!

As for the hotel itself, I don't think it really matters which one you book at when you go - since there are no BAD ones in the village and plus - you will be enjoying your time out of the hotel all day anyway mingling with other people and enjoying the atmosphere. --- plus Canada Day bonus is you get to see some pretty cool fireworks show (loud for the kids to sleep, but fun nonetheless!)

From May 19th to May 22nd my wife and I stayed at the Lodge de la Montagne by Intrawest. It is situated au 140, Chemin au pied de la montagne, Mont Tremblant, Québec. We had booked a one bedroom condo on the third floor for the view of the village and of the surrounding hotels.

Our condo had a smaller fenced balcony with 2 chairs. From our balcony we had nice views of the central village looking southwest towards the magnificent mountain tops and of other hotels. The one bedroom had a double bed which was comfortable for our needs, a dresser, a large closet and a large sliding door that had a view of the back forest. The entire condo was well divided; it included a small kitchen, a four place dining area and a large living room with fireplace, an HDTV, a full bathroom and the condo included free Wi-Fi.

A nice touch is that the fully equipped kitchenette had all the necessities you needed to prepare and cook a nice meal, and also included a dishwasher. You must take care of your garbage (garbage bags included) and all of your recycling goes into a blue box. Please note that there is no breakfast service in this hotel.

On Thursday the 19th we enjoyed the indoors hot tub as the exterior one was under repairs and the outdoors swimming pool was still not opened. The inside hot tub area was a little warm because the windows could not be opened. The underground parking was empty on the first night. However, because of the long weekend of May the next few nights it became difficult to get a spot and to drive in and out of a parking spot was a bit difficult. The hotel is very central in the village, so walking to most restaurants is an easy walk.

All in all, we would recommend this condo vacation site to our friends and family for an enjoyable and cozy time.

This was my second visit to Mont Tremblant and my second stay at the Lodge De La Montagne with my second visit amounting to a very wonderful experience. The difference this time around was most definitely the front desk staff.

Upon check in, we arrived at our room only to find it had no balcony, something my family and I enjoy very much. With one quick call to see if a room change was even possible our request was honoured in a warm and friendly manner. It set the tone for the weekend.

Our studio suite was perfect for 3 of us and the balcony was a great place to relax. All amenities in the kitchen were accounted for. ( cork screw, wine glasses, cheese grater) Missing from the kitchen was a frying pan. Also there are individual Keurig coffee makers. Ensure you bring plenty of K - cups as only 2 per day were provided. The bathroom was clean and tidy with great water pressure and hot water. The bed was comfortable and even though the lodge was very busy the hallway noise was minimal, resulting in a restful night.

The indoor hot tub was open and busy but due to the season the pool and outdoor hot tub were yet to open.

Lift tickets to the enclosed gondola were included which were a great savings as it was $20 per round trip otherwise.

The lodge and it's furnishings are somewhat old and dated but clean and comfortable.

Room tip: After booking your room, call and request a room with a balcony and a room that is not on the parking lot/ parking garage entrance side.

We stayed for 3 nights there. Even though the decor was a it dated but the suite was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient since it locates at the village and we could ski back directly to the side entrance and put the ski back to the locker right away.

Located right in the walking village, the location was pretty awesome. We were able to ride out down to the Cabriolet or walk up a bit to the bottom of the gondola. I was a little weirded out by the crazy icy walk between the hotel and town, I eventually figured out a few tricks but did end up falling on our last day and hurt my knee and hand :( Be careful!

The staff here was LOVELY, really friendly and nice. The manager helped us check in when I had some difficulties with my bank freezing my cards (what was I doing in Canada?) and I couldn't clear it up until the next day... yadda yadda. None the less, the manager got us into our room and took very good care of us. This was a huge relief as the whole thing was a little stressful. Fortunately the manager was really accommodating. I am forever grateful for his help.

You can buy lift tickets right at the hotel (but I strongly recommend getting them in advance online for a lot less). They give you a lock and a locker for your gear.

The room was fine. The beds weren't really that comfortable but they were adequate and the sheets were decent. I am not sure what the deal is with housekeeping, but they didn't really 'tidy' the room despite my hanging up the sign each day asking for a freshening. They left dirty dishes in the sink and took my son's money which was not left as a tip for them. This was odd and disconcerting.

The hot tubs and sauna were awesome. The one outside overlooks the town, it's really great. I took advantage of that part of the hotel nightly. We also had a blast playing pool in the game room.

One thing that was a challenge was the living room/common area was taken over by a group of racing teams. I wasn't able to really go anywhere and 'hang out' besides our room and the hot tub. It would have been really helpful and nice if I could have taken my laptop somewhere besides the room to get things done. I am guessing this room is typically available on other days.

I have to say the "free wifi" was totally horrible. Not only was it slow and you had to keep reconnecting over and over, it also loaded my computer up with some security disabling bots. When I got home I had to clean our hard drives out. This is no bueno! I felt it unfair to have to pay for upgraded Wifi in 2016. Come on. This is something hotels should offer without issue.

What makes this place very good is the awesome location, the rate (book online for deals) and the incredible awesome and friendly staff.

Room tip: The free wifi is awful, if you're counting on decent wifi, you'll have to upgrade to the paid wifi.
