This is a fantastic place to stay. Chris and Gord are fabulous people, they go the extra mile or should we say miles. The suite is lovely too, with all you need.
Spotlessly clean throughout, and very comfy. Great views of the water and wildlife from the verandah. Superb home cooked breakfasts from Chris. Also the amazing dinner which they invited us to, this was really a lovely evening and the food was out of this world. Also thanks for the help with our quest to see bears. And for your great Eagle viewing on the beach. All together an amazing stay. You should only stay here when visiting Port Hardy and you should give yourself time for this area, there is so much to see.

Room Tip: Choose this B&B and you will be choosing a memorable one!

Chris and Gordon are gracious hosts. They made us feel so comfortable and welcome. They even invited us for two delicious dinners. Also, Chris gave us a ride to pick up some fish we had frozen that we caught while visiting there and then gave us a ride to the airport. Chris was helpful in making local contact for us for fishing as well. She made sure we had breakfast and lunch on the day we went out fishing. The B&B is in a great location. You can easily view the bay and walk to restaurants or the harbor. It is peaceful and comfortable. Definitely recommended.

Chris and Gord were the most welcoming hosts one could imagine. Collecting us from the airport, giving a short guided tour on the way back and pre-booking our ferry pick-up the next morning were all added bonuses. But to be invited to join them for locally caught dinner the previous evening was simply outstanding. Perfect location and views. Great suite with kit for small-scale self catering as well as the bed etc. This was a highlight welcome for our short tour of BC.

A previous poster said that people had queried their decision to visit north Vancouver Island, we have encountered the same response, but really - if you have the time, the north of the island is well worth it if you want to beat the heavily touristed areas for beauty and wildlife.
Anyway, onto the B&B, I enquired back in January about getting 3 nights, but sadly this lovely B&B was booked 2 of the 3 that I wanted, so I just took one. So glad that I did. We were arriving at 9pm from the day sailing from Bella Coola. Chris kindly informed me that the bus didn't run from that ferry arrival, so she came and collected me to save me finding a taxi (I'm not completely sure but think there is only one taxi). How kind. She waited patiently in the cool night for us as it took 20 minutes for the ferry to release the passengers then another 10 for our bags to arrive.
We arrived at her lovely house and were taken into the suite - it is delightful, a very comfortable dining/sitting area with a tv, dvd etc, coffee machine, microwave and bar fridge. She has some provisions in the pantry and encourages you to help yourself to whatever you wish. There was even soft drink (pop?) and a couple of beers in the fridge. The bathroom was similary thoughtfully stocked with all the little extra's you may need. After a week of walking and riding in Tweedsmuir Park we were most grateful for the washing machine and dryer right in our room! what a first.
The suite itself is beautifully decorated - in the bedroom is a beautiful quilt hanging on the wall that Chris made herself. There is also lovely wildlife artwork on the walls. There are books on wildlife and the area too. All in all just a lovely comfortable space. Comfy bed and pillows too.
Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, pancakes eggs etc. Thanks Chris, what a shame we couldn't stay longer.
We had a car booked to pick up from the airport on the next morning - she even offered to drive us out to get it. Thanks so much Chirs. This is THE place to stay in Port Hardy - for sure.

We stayed there the night before our departure on the inside passage ferry. Only a short stay as we had to be at the terminal at 5h30.
Very nice place, clean, quiet, comfortable and welcoming.
A breakfast bag was ready for us in the fridge as we were leaving so early, much appreciated.
