Description: We are an authentic Indian restaurant leaning towards Southern Indian Cuisine. Our foods are inspired with Keralan spices and traditions . We love to use natural and local ingredients. We say No with artificial ingredients and colors. We do not believe in having a vast menu with all the dishes tasting the same, we believe in a menu where each dish is distinct in terms of flavor and texture.

Without a moments hesitation this was the best curry I have had in Bristol, in fact probably the UK. I can not see why I would eat a curry anywhere else.

Amazing food. Tasty fresh and not greasy. The aubergine curry and pakoras were delicious! We’ll definitely be back

I can’t praise Salkaara in Bristol enough. The food was absolutely fabulous and also the best Indian food we have tasted in Bristol. Service was quick and friendly. Altogether a superb and enjoyable experience.

We had a takeaway just after lockdown but first visit to the restaurant, this time for a birthday celebration.

It did not disappoint. The food was fabulous. We both had dishes that we have not heard of before, 2 of which from the chefs family recipes. All starters, mains and desserts were amazing. In fact, the dessert was so good it left you speechless.... Chocolate samosas... Who would have thought!

The food was well presented and held bags of flavour. The food was really worthy of a celebration.

The service was excellent. The staff were attentive and showed genuine interest in advising how to eat the food and what you thought of it.

There was nothing to disappoint at all.

Will definitely be revisiting.

Wanted to try this after checking out the lovely looking pics on FB. The food lives up to the pictures, and the setting was very pleasant. Not your traditional curry house - definitely several steps above, certainly in terms of the menu! Prices are a little higher than your standard indian but well worth it. We had various stand out dishes: Home made pickles with the popadoms and v good too. Chicken Tikka starter - best i've tried anywhere. Calamari (was unsure how this would work spiced) beautifully presented, great texture, and fab source - akin to a chaat? Hyderibadi lamb - looked a bit odd with meat in a smooth dark gravy - but spiced superbly. Byriani presented professionally and the curry source with it was gorgeous - like a highly spiced warmer korma source.
Only slight issue was that our rice arrived a couple of minutes late - though the manager apologised for low staff levels - they had been let down by no shows the night before so had one person less - and on our night they had extra walk ins (Tuesday night at 7pm and the place was close to half full - which i guess is close to full for covid times!)
