We have visited Clifton a number of times, but this was our first stay at the Rodney Hotel. We were very impressed and have already booked again for our next trip.
We booked one of the hotel’s small bedroom, the price was very reasonable. The room was as described, but I have stayed in smaller. It had a comfortable double bed and a small, clean and adequate bathroom. It was on the third floor of a charming old building, there is no lift, but this was made clear before we booked. Our room overlook the hotel’s private garden.
There were some really nice touches in the room that made us feel very welcome. These included freshly ground coffee, leaf tea and fresh fruit. The was also a fridge/minibar that we were able to use. The bathroom also had good quality soap and shampoo provided.
I thought the staff were excellent, pleasant and really helpful. There is 24 hours reception too. We did not eat at the hotel, but the restaurant looked great, and we will try it next time. Overall, this hotel was great value and I have no hesitation in recommending it.More
