Description: Hills Cafe is a community cafe set in the heart of Micklefield, High Wycombe. Run by Open House Micklefield, a Community Interest Company set up by a local church, we aim to create an inclusive place where the whole community feels welcome and at home. Quality. We seek to provide simple yet quality food and refreshment, using local and ethically sourced ingredients where possible, even growing our own when we can! We want people to feel more connected with where their food comes from. Different. We are different from your usual business. We are a not for profit social enterprise, so that the money we make is invested back into the project to provide more opportunities for local people. People. We are more interested in growing people than growing profits. As well as reducing isolation by providing a point of contact for people in the community we want to provide volunteering opportunities, to invest in people of all ages and all backgrounds, providing training, building confidence and helping people to move on in life. Hills Cafe would not have happened if it was not for the financial support of One Can Trust, Marsh & Micklefield Big Local and Red Kite Community Housing. We are grateful for their support and look forward to working with them as we grow and develop. We are also thankful to Heart of Bucks for financial support towards our running costs in the early days.

Tucked away in a somewhat unprepossessing residential area of High Wycombe is Hills Cafe. It is staffed by volunteers and serves pretty standard cafe fare. The coffee is good and the "doorstep" sandwich really could be doorstep size! They pride themselves on using locally sourced and good quality produce. The crusty loaf was great. The staff are friendly and and the place was warm and welcoming on a very frosty morning.

There's some parking outside, an ATM at the post office next door and a corner shop in the little parade of shops. It was very relaxed and friendly. I'll be back!

I love this place! Local, easy parking, cash point next door.

It's relaxing, welcoming, warm and the food is great and the coffee is gorgeous!

I went alone, I quite like watching the world go by with a great cup of coffee and I tried the new breakfast offering, which was delicious - perfect size too.

Highly recommended - a complete gem of a place in Micklefield.

Hill's cafe is quite new, and has a good selection of food. It always seems busy when I pass by. There is small enclosed pretty garden at the back.

What a delightful cafe this is, with friendly staff and a comfortable environment with a lovely little garden out the back. Not the most extensive menu, which isn't a problem, but it taste wonderful..

Very limited menu with most items being bread based, cake or biscuits.
Embarrassing having to order a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich without the bread, and then having to try to explain my allergy to a complete stranger when advised the have gluten free bread. If I could have gluten free I'd have ordered it.
Wasn't advised that the sausages weren't plain but a herby kind like Lincolnshire or Cumberland sausages. Offered baked beans that came in a ramekin and had obviously been microwaved but then not stirred as were hard and dry on top.
The lady running the place was nice enough but sadly the food a huge let down.

Thank you for your feedback. Hills Cafe is a social enterprise, set up by local residents, to create a positive place for people to gather at the heart of our community. We know our menu is currently limited and we do plan to grow and develop it but we also are staffed predominantly by volunteers and we need to balance the desire to have a varied and broad menu with our capacity to deliver consistently good quality food. We are very much learning still so your feedback is really valuable to us and hopefully you will visit again and help us to improve!
