It's been a while since I've eaten at Hunkydory, and the food and service was every bit as amazing as I remembered. We enjoyed starters of chicken liver pate, seared scallops and Cornish beef carpaccio - all delicious! And for our mains we enjoyed a seafood feast of pan fried John Dory fillets with roasted vegetable risotto, mussels in Thai coconut sauce, and a monkfish special (served in a spicy broth and soy dressing). We all tried a bit of each other's mains and I honestly couldn't pick a favourite dish - each one was incredible and full of flavour. Desserts of lemon posset and Eton mess made the perfect end to an amazing meal. The staff were so friendly and attentive throughout our meal, and the setting was comfortable and cosy without feeling claustrophobic. The bill came to just over £40 per person which was excellent value for money given the overall quality of our experience. So to sum up then, we had an incredible meal, in a lovely setting, served by friendly and courteous staff. What more could a diner ask for?

Haven't been to Hunky Dory for a while and probably won't return in a hurry. Poor atmosphere with bright lighting and uninspired decor. Over attentive waiting staff made us slightly uneasy. The food was mixed, some quite good but had a dated feel and no finesse. Soup not hot enough, crab starter pretty boring and unimaginative. And really overpriced for what we had.

A nice littleplace situated on one of the main streets near the maritime museum. Pleasant staff and we had very good service. The menu wasnt extensive but a good choice of specials to compliment that made for a good alround choice. We had monkfish which was lovely. They catered well for our fussy 5 year old and he enjoyed his experience as much as we did. A very nice evening out.

Lovely clean welcoming restaurant in a great location. Chris and David have a real gem here, providing an oasis of peace, warmth, quality and joy in this traditionally busy part of Falmouth. On arrival, Chris could not have made us more welcome, before we were seated at our table and given a very helpful tour through the menu and specials. Drinks served promptly and orders taken. Waitresses very friendly, helpful and informative throughout.
Starters were all superb - with the scallops and hogs pudding, and the fresh crab dishes being as fresh and excellent as one could want.
Main courses were just as good - we had dishes of John Dory, Fillet steak, Fresh dressed crab, and a pork medallions, shitake mushrooms and noodles treat. All beautifully presented and seasoned, and using top quality local produce. Pretty much faultless.
For puddings we settled on a lovely cramelised banana treat and Eton Mess. Quite lovely.
Overall, for the quality of the restaurant, service, food, drinks, etc. the bill was remarkably fair. That, with the perfect portion sizes, meant we all left feeling very comfortable, satisfied and full of praise for this lovely venue. Very highly recommended.

We pre booked a table at this very good local restaurant for four. On arrival we got greeted by a friendly staff member and shown to our table. Our choice from the menu was starters - Duck spring rolls x3 and 1x mussels. Main was 3x belly pork and 1x knoodles . The food was served hot and plentiful and a great flavours. Staff very friendly .This was not our first visit and it won't be our last.
