Good afternoon,

We booked through booking.com!
The property was nothing like the photos or description.
The receptionist was rude and unhelpful.
I have never been to a Hotel in the UK where you can not drink the water!
The Window didn't shut, the shower curtain held up by a piece of cable, the shower barely trickled and was cold.
We have request our money back, we left after one night! Which we had no choice in as we were so tired after 4 hours drive, this was also a mistake as the bed was very uncomfortable and the place very noisy.
I have hundreds of photos of this Hostel which is at best to describe it!
We feel this was mis sold to us as we we were booking a HOTEL not a HOSTEL .

I'll be honest, I got let down for accommodation and booked this place as the cheapest option.
I was very impressed.

The place has a 'hostel' friendliness about it, there's no barriers and strangers and friends were chatting away in the bar and pool room. We joined them, I'm still terrible at pool.

It was a new one to me that towels weren't included, but at a £1 each plus returned deposit it wasn't tipping the room rate over.
And they were nice towels.

The room was absolutely adequate, with all the things you'd expect. We had the family double/single combo. It was spotlessly clean. And so quiet!

(Apologies I don't know husbands name)
Picture from our bedroom window
Well once again we were left sad as we walked away from our second home in newquay we absolutely loved it last year at the surfers and weren't disappointed this year we returned to Yvonne's lovely warming smile and her husbands wonderful sense of humour they had new staff which weren't as easy to get on with as the year before but catered to all of our needs! The room we booked was just want we needed a shower to wash our heads a bed to rest and a beautiful view to adore I love the fact there's no tv's or accessories in the room but that makes the communal feeling in the lounge how it is, as before we felt so comfortable chilled out after long days in the lounge speaking with other guests having a laugh and watching the tv it all depends on the crowds in the hotel we appreciate there are rooms people dislike but I understand they won't place stags and hens in the best rooms. The car park was full a lot of the time but we were able to park at the side in our usual spot and left my keys with Yvonne and her husband when parked on the drive so they could move it for other guests to get out and surprise surprise we booked for next year and can't wait to get back here it's truly heaven on earth, I believe people respond to how you treat them we were created with morninggg, eveninggg and treated like extended family members couldn't fault this place! I would recommend this hotel to down to earth people more bothered about a homely relaxed atmosphere, exploring the surroundings rather than the pristine state of the hotel walls or the lack of things in the room this place is what you make it for sure!
