Popped in for a quick lunch here. The food was very pleasant, the staff accommodating and helpful, and the service was speedy. My wife had the crab rarebit, and I had the local fish pie (picture attached). Both were lovely, and plainly freshly made. Would recommend, and would return if local again.

(PS the restaurant is dog friendly downstairs, which is very welcome if it is the stop off point on a walk).

Thanks for a lovely lunch.

A nice place to eat right on the harbour front. There are tables downstairs or upstairs and it's fairly cosy. Staff are friendly even when you have restless children with you! Great that they had a child's portion of mussels which our 7 year old really enjoyed along with most of his mother's! Also very nice fish and chips. Worth a visit but can get crowded in summer. Parking is at the top of the village.

We had lunch this morning. Admittedly we had walked a fairly strenuous section of the coastal path, and as my father-in-law used to say "Hunger is the best sauce", but lunch was great. Two of us had the burger and it was excellent, although the cheese didn't work on it - wrong cheese? I have only had better chips in a Michelin star gastro pub. A couple of others had the goats cheese salad and the last one had soup - all were very pleased with their meal. Very friendly as well.

Accommodated six adults and three dogs on day that saw three seasons in a matter of 10 minutes. Lovely hosting nothing was too much trouble. Lovely location and very atmospheric. Now for the food we all ordered something different and we were not disappointed would highly recommend the fish soup.

Suitable for all. Although toilet is upstairs.

Very knowledgable about the local area and Doc Martin!
