Whilst waiting for our boat trip I thought fish and chips was the order the sign said the best no bones about it. Sadly not the case fish and chips came in at £12 per head so certainly not cheap so I was expecting top notch food what I got however was reheated chips and a thin over battered and cooked cod that was lacking in flavour and pretty small to boot wife had the scampi which was good but again the chips were poor. Wouldn't advise you make it a stop fish and chips + scampi and chips +2 1/2 of lager £29 never again

Very busy restaurant , staff were all friendly , impeccable service . Food was poor quality - I ordered the salmon fillet and roast potatoes ( roasted in goose fat) the salmon was very fresh but over cooked and dried and the roast potatoes were boiled baby salad potatoes and tasted like they were dipped in oil - inedible
We won’t be returning

Almost every time we happen by St Ives we return here. The chowder is a scrumptious must and worth the effort.

The most disgusting takeaway fish & chips I have ever been served, in reality I should of taken them back ! The only good comment I can leave is that the dog had a good feed.

This place is a gem. Try the sea bass salads wine. Sit in the window and look at the sparkling sea and white sands. Everything is perfect here, even the price. Nothing too much trouble for diverse diets, the chef is a ‘proper job’
But, remember to book to avoid disappointment; the place is very popular and books up quickly. Go out of season if you can and relax, take your time and spend a lazy afternoon sampling the food and drinks.... tried to get in on Saturday night! Should have known better...
