Well...what can I say about Marjories!? Absolutely brilliant service, both polite, courteous and efficient. The Full English breakfast was nothing short of a culinary triumph; thick, nicely browned bacon, perfectly crisped fried bread and a well cooked fried egg, all complimented by piping hot baked beans and freshly sauteed mushrooms. One party member had a very delicious toasted tea cake and the collective agreed unanimously that the hot drinks were outstanding. Lavatories were very clean and well stocked with the expected consumables. The lady who served us appeared to be also cooking and preparing most of the meals with only the aid of another young gentleman, a feat which me and my party were in awe of! We left content and in high spirits. Well done Marjories Pantry! We will be back...

Most Dartmouth restaurants are either fairly pricey or 'chips with everything'. Marjories offers a fair range from breakfasts to cottage pies, omelettes and the like. It looks a bit downmarket, decor cold do with an update, and tables are close together, but its well scrubbed and we've always enjoyed our meals.
Seating is limited downstairs but more room upstairs, though the stairs are a bit steep if you have mobility problems.

Stopped in for lunch at this café. My wife and I had the vegetable soup which came with a warmed roll. My daughters had a sausage, bacon and tomato panini and a mozzarella panini and a portion of chips to share. We drank tea, fruit juice and a milkshake and the bill came to £38. The food was good and cooked to order. And although we had to wait slightly longer than usual for our meal to be served this did not bother us in the slightest. Service was with a smile, relaxed and with good humour. Makes a nice change. Would have no hesitation returning here for lunch or breakfast. The place could probably do with a coat of paint - but it all adds to the character.

We went in a couple weeks ago for a snack & again yesterday. Good plain menu. Service was excellent. Student waitress very efficient & friendly. Our food came quickly, piping hot, generous portions. My husband had a bacon, eggs, sausage sandwich which was a generous filling. Thicker bread would have been better. Good coffee. It was full downstairs but ample space upstairs. Will go again.
