The 21 Mile Drive is a lovely figure-of-eight scenic tour which takes
in the best of what the Victorians called ‘Little Switzerland’.
En-route we visited the Lynton to Barnstaple narrow gauge railway, Heddon Valley(NT) and Hunters’ Inn where we walked down to an old smugglers cove at Heddon’s Mouth. We drove on to Woody Bay and Lee Bay along single track roads that twist and turn running along the contour of the wooded cliffs to Lynton and then out past Watersmeet(NT) and through the Brendon Valley returning via Countisbury and a final walk out to the lighthouse at Foreland Point before driving to down the hill to Lynmouth.
A great drive, remember to take your camera!
