Next door to another and part of the same chain of Sutton Harbour situated international themed plymouth restaurants all prominently advertised as being owned by Mr Davari, this place has a big sign and a smooth interior but the food is expensive, the staff a little detached and the overall effect unwelcoming and under par. With several other Asian restaurants now open in Notte and Southside streets each with high quality ad value Chinese and Japanese food Asia Chic feels a bit contrived and lacking. By all means try it but we felt that it was rather more to do with appearance than taste and fun.

Have visited this restaurant twice now (both on weeknights) and both times have found the food amazing. Both times we shared a selection of dim sum to start - all very tasty, very fresh ingredients. There is a massive selection of meat, fish and vegetarian. Had asian wasabi steak for main, was perfectly cooked, excellent quality meat. Presentation of all food is fabulous, a lot of time goes into making the food look as good as it tastes. I feel dessert is also a strong point (which can often let many asian/chinese restaurants down) but they do a fantastic trio of creme brulees with fresh coconut and passion fruit it, another desert is there caramelised banana - this is superb and possibly one of the best restaurant desserts I have ever had.

Service is attentive, your glass is always kept full, but not over the top. Very nicely decorated with a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for special occassions. Look forward to many more meals here.

Went there about a year ago and reviewed it then, a year on and it's just as good if not better! Service 2nd to none, food is presented, cooked and tastes amazing. The menu is not overpriced at all if you don't mind paying for decent quality food. Defiantly this time won't take me 10months to return!
