We arrived here fairly early Sunday morning, as it said you could book in any time after 10. The reception we got was most welcoming. We were greeted by Lulu such a lovely lady. Shown to our room. The room very very clean and smelt lovely and fresh. Bed linen crisp and white. We could leave our car there the walk to the sea front less than 10 mins which is ideal. Breakfast very good. Cereal yogurts fruit. Fresh fruit juice. Full English breakfast very good very hot which for us that's important can't bear cold food. Had everything it should have for a full English. Plenty of toast. Hot tea and coffee also plenty of that too. So all in all. What more can I say. It was a most quite and peaceful and very relaxing time for us and Lulu and her partner did us proud. Keep it up ladies. Would I go back can't wait would definitely recommend this lovely place thank you so much for making our break just perfect.

Enjoyed our stay, very friendly staff that gave so much hospitality.
Good location, not far from the centre which is a very nice walk at night with the lights along the sea front.
Thank you for the fruit for our journey home.

Have just returned from a lovely stay in Torquay. I had previously booked a hotel but having read the reviews on T/A I was not impressed so cancelled. We was then stuck with no where to stay.
Went back into T/A to see if i could find an alternative and trawled through many options. I then came across Summerlands, I rang them direct and spoke to Lulu the manager. We wanted a two night stay and she said that was fine. I was very happy with the price quoted so went ahead.
When we arrived on Sat morning I was a little unsure that I had made the right choice after I saw the name Lulus Fawlty Towers. But once in the door I was very pleased with the welcome we received, nothing was too much trouble Lulu was a excellent host and her little son James welcomed us. The double room we booked was at the back so very quiet, it was spotlessly clean complete with tea/coffee and bottled water. The shower was brilliant and again very clean, with the usual toiletries. Next morning we went down for breakfast the choice was very good fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal a choice of cooked options , toast jam , honey etc a nice china pot for the tea (that didn't drip when poured) and fresh filter coffee everything you could wish for. Lulu was constantly making sure we were happy. This lady did everything she could to make us happy. We will definitely visit this establishment again.

Wonderful querky B&B. Staff friendly and helpful. Over and above to ensure you are happy. Food excellent. Our favourite B&B of this trip. Rooms good size and very clean. Definitely would stay here again if in this part of the country. Within walking distance of seafront and many options for evening food.
