We're just back from a 2 night stay at Orestone Manor and what a wonderful stay it was. Certainly, the glorious weather helped to make it memorable but even without the sunshine, it would still have hugely impressed.
We stayed in the garden room which was peaceful, beautifully decorated and welcoming. Not usually ones for hot tubs but this had to be experienced and was certainly the place to relax at the end of a busy day visiting the nearby towns of Torquay, Teignmouth and Dawlish. You would never be tired of watching the views towards the sea while enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple. It's certainly worthwhile taking the time to walk down to the beach - it's a steep walk but it will be made all the more pleasurable if you stop for a drink at the Thatched Tavern on the way. What a beautiful place!
The food at Orestone was excellent and service good. This family owned hotel certainly makes you feel as though you are staying with friends. We were made to feel welcome but equally, left in peace and quiet if we wanted to.
It's certainly a place we want to return to as I don't think you could ever tire of this wonderful hotel and its stunning location. More
