Stayed in April then again in May. Lovely Hotel and very friendly staff. They make a breakfast to die for. In the evenings they do light bites, which are lovely. Definitely going again. Love walking the South West Coast path and this area is good for that.

Room Tip: Only stayed in two rooms, both were very comfortable. All rooms are newly decorated.

Not sure what to say except thank you! From us all.

One couldn't ask for more so all we can say is we'll do our very best to make your next trip to TMB as good, if not better than the first. And the second!

Wishing you the very best and hope to see you very soon

Phil, Vicki, Jody and all the team at The Bay

P.S. Would you like a season ticket?

Made even better by our stay at The Meadfoot Bay Hotel. Phil and Vicky we're perfect hosts, (it's a shame I didn't get to say goodbye ), together with excellent staff members (Jody). We stayed in the main Suite which was amazing.

Breakfast was consistently excellent. Can't wait to visit again... See you soon!

Oh Anni

Sorry we missed you too! But sounds like we may be lucky enough to see you again soon. And yes Mill BayCove is a great place to spend some quality time in! And it will shortly be enhanced even further but you'll have to come back to see how!

Meantime thank you for the very kind words.

Until we meet again best wishes from all the team at TMB

My husband and I stayed at The Meadfoot Bay 6th-7th May. The room was stylish, comfortable and well equipped. Tea and coffee making facilities with even additional herbal teas and hot chocolate for non- tea/coffee drinkers. Fresh milk was also provided in the mini fridge.

The bathroom was very spacious with dual sinks, walk in shower (no bath) and was spotlessly clean. Robe and slippers were also provided, which I always like.

The complimentary sherry in the room was a welcomed treat that we enjoyed before heading out to our dinner reservation.

The beds are very comfortable and we both slept very well.

There was a great selection of breakfast in the morning including cold meats and cheese, homemade muesli and a granola that was the tastiest I’ve ever had! We ordered the full English which was made to my specific order with everything cooked how I would do it at home.

The attentiveness and attention to detail at this hotel is second to none. The decor is tastefully modern and stylish with the added comfort of home.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

How lovely to hear you say it felt like a home from home as that is exactly what we want our guests to feel, except we think we may have a bigger selection (and growing) of gins than most drinks cabinets!

Kick back, relax, treat the place as your own is to our mind that what a stay at the Bay should be all about so we hope we'll have the chance of welcoming you back to your home from home.

Best wishes from Phil, Vicki, Jody and all the team

My husband and I booked at Meadfoot for a long awaited break last August. Warm welcome received on arrival from Phil but had no contact with Vicky during our stay. Breakfast was lovely and superbly cooked but no atmosphere in the dining room during our visit. Felt the car park is difficult as there were no spaces left during our visit. My husband hit a bollard trying to manoeuvre out of the small carpark after unloading to then have to park on the road. Our room was at the top, smaller than we would have expected as there was little room to get pass the end of the bed and quite dark with no view at all except unkept trees by the window. Meadfoot beach is wonderful, great cafe to sit and watch the world go by and lovely walk to reach it. We however personally found the walk back from Torquay hard work as it's uphill all the way back. From other comments listed we feel we went to a different hotel that week.

Dear Sue

Have to say that your review has come somewhat out of the blue ten months after your stay. But of course we remember your husband's accident and fully appreciated that it must have been upsetting for you but, as we pointed out at the time (and the sign in our lobby clearly stated), unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for such incidents. We have car parking for 12 on site and free parking on the road outside, but as you were with us in August the car park might well have been full. We obviously hate for a guest to have anything but pleasant memories of a stay at Meadfoot hence our offer at the time for a discount on a return stay which is still open should you wish to return.

Best wishes

Phil & Vicki
