I hadn't been to Torquay for 40 years it's certainly got bigger. There is not much beach but seems very busy even after the schools have gone back. The guest house was excellent Paul and Linda make you very welcome nothing too much trouble. The only thing I found after we had left and read the brochure after another couple pointed it out was we were never shown the gym not that I'm sure whether we would use it but it would have been nice to have had the option That is in the brochure but the pool and gardens and verander were beautiful.

Room Tip: Premier room

Hi Devon1956,
Many thanks for your super review. it was very nice to meet you both. Glad that you enjoyed Torquay again after a 40 year break . You are right we don't have a huge beach when the tide is in but in the " out " period there's loads of it to play on & have fun in the rock pools. The sometimes inclement weather didn't deter you from getting about so you were able to see & do a lot whilst you were here . Sorry that you felt that you missed out on the exercise room but the reason Paul didn't tell you about it when he did his tour of all of our facilities is that we don't have it any more. It was never used enough so its now a store. The only reference to it is a small photo on our brochure. When we reprint that too will be gone. We look forward to seeing you again ...we hope that you won't leave it another 40 years !!

Hi Stephen & Ann,
It was a pleasure having you here for your holiday. Its a long way to come from Northumberland so we are happy to hear that you enjoyed it. The shops of Torquay definitely enjoyed Ann's presence .I hope that our scales were accurate & there were no excess weight charges on your flight home !!! Hope to see you again soon. Best wishes .

The rooms are very comfortable with a large on suite. I was very pleased with the comfortable bed and decor. Breakfast was very good and can recommend the full English. Parking within the grounds can be limited if everyone else drives a bloody 4x4 or large MPV but there's ample free street parking out front. Everything is within 20 mins walking distance or 2 mins by car or taxi. I would highly recommend this hotel, friendly, informative staff, love to stay again thanks.

Hi Philip.
Hopefully its the first visit but not the last. The Fourposter rooms are quite special I agree so glad that you enjoyed your stay in Pacific. It was quite strange that as you say everybody had a huge car during your stay just as well that it is free & unrestricted parking in the road outside on this occasion. Regards.

We had an amazing stay at Cary Court on the bank holiday weekend. The couple who run the B&B were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was nice and clean but not the best I've stayed in as the bathroom was quite small. But the incredible gardens and pool more than made up for it. The breakfast was also excellent. There is a BYO bar area which is a wonderful idea with a fridge to keep your wine etc. We will definitely be back again and again. I've already recommended it to all my friends.

Room Tip: There are rooms with lovely balconys, we wish they had been available when we stayed as they looked beautiful.

Hi Jenny,
Thanks for your lovely review. Much appreciated. Its a shame that all of our Premier rooms had been booked when you made your reservation & the only room we had left was our one & only Standard double room. Its the least expensive but not the biggest unfortunately. We are planning to make another 2 bedroomed self catering house adjoined to the main house this winter. The one that we have already is called The White House & we are so pleased with how it has been received this summer . The details ,photos & prices are on our website under Cary Court Guest House or The White House at Cary Court & the new one will be there as soon as we finish it.
