It's just as entertaining watching the people walking by as it is to eat a meal, window shop, browse for bargains and gifts, or just chat with the locals.

Neighbourhood full of independent shops. Cafes, antiques, clothes, sports etc as well as marginal shops. A great place to run away from malls and global brands.. And a great reason to live in Brighton...

The perfect Sunday out with friends strolling the Laines browsing the cool independent stores and vintage shops! A number of really excellent cafes too! Recommended for a day out in Brighton!

We caught the train from Victoria station to brighton which takes about an hour and return trip cost £27

Once in brighton we walked through the north laine's which are filled with retro shops, quirky card and toy shops, cafes, vintage clothes, shoes, handbags and more

We went on Saturday and arrived at 10am shops were just opening and a street market was set up so road was closed to traffic. Such a fantastic vibe with buskers playing music as we slowly walked through the shops

We then continued down the hill to the south laines where there is vintage jewellery shops

These laine's take you all the way to the sea side boardwalk where we then walked out to the pier and watched people on the Carnival rides.

Then a lovely walk along the board walk past local art shops and cafes
