Nice staff here and a lovely setting, especially if you can sit outside. Large umbrellas even mean it's ok if it rains. Usual food - ok but pricey.

The location at Marina is good, if you want to combine a nice evening walk with the dinner.
Pizza is decent, as in all the Pizza Express where I have been.
The restaurant is also close to a cinema complex, so adding further options for the after dinner.

Visited on a quiet evening, Sat down quickly and given menus. Then we waited and waited for someone to take our drinks order. After asking a couple of waiters a waitress was sent to our table, very apologetic as she hadn't realised our table was in her section. Starters arrived then our mains, these were dry and had obviously been left under a warm light. My seafood pasta was bland and dry on top. We didn't have time to send back and wait again. We then ordered tea. The waitress returned looking embarrassed, no lids for the tea pots. The manager was asked and we were offered tea in a glass, as no lid on the pot was dangerous. So would be tea in a glass. All around there seemed to be chaos. Certainly wasn't a good environment. Very poor.

This eaterie does what it does well. There are no real surprises for a pizza and pasta place but there are TWO vegan pizzas and gluten free options too which is fab.
A party of six ordered three courses and only the battered chicken dish disappointed. It was floppy and insipid but all the pizzas and salad were lovely. The polenta chips were a little over salty but all were eaten.
The staff were friendly and helpful and accommodated a walk in party of 7 with no hassle.
Food prep is in an open area so you can see it is clean and well maintained.

Typical Pizza Express Meal - good service at a reasonable price. Desserts are a little expensive but typical of chain restaurants
