After reading the reviews about this hotel, I was a bit nervous about staying here with my husband and daughter for three nights. Also had a bit of an issue before we came - we requested a cot in the room and were told that it doesn’t usually fit in a standard double that we had booked, so I was worried about what we would arrive to. We arrived at about 11 - parked on level 5 (I think) of the car park; so we could easily walk over the footbridge to the hotel. The room understandably wasn’t ready, so we went out and came back at about 2 and it was ready (still early though).
The room was lovely and spacious and really good base for our three nights.
Housekeeping couldn’t do enough for me, including my many requests for more coffee!
Due to COVID times, you do need to request your room be cleaned or fresh towels, but this wasn’t a problem for us.
The marina is a little shabby and run down but it was close enough to walk to the centre. Also close to the bus stop. Cost is £6 in a taxi to go to Brighton racecourse.
The staff on reception weren’t overly friendly, but polite enough !
All in all, a lovely stay.
Can’t comment on the food or drink, as we didn’t dine here.More
