We came here for 1 night and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is ideally situated to access all the quaint shops, cafés and pubs. We parked our car right outside our room and could leave it there after checking out (until 2pm). The room was clean and fresh with everything you could want. The bathroom had a bath and a shower, although I found the shower controls tricky to work out. The bed was very comfortable. Staff are very friendly. There is a choice of restaurants. The one in the hotel is Italian and there is also a restaurant just across the road that also belongs to the hotel that serves more traditional food. We booked the latter and weren't disappointed. The food was excellent. Breakfast was lovely. There is a self service buffet for cereals, croissants and fruit and yogurt and waiter service for cooked. Ample and tasty. The down side was lack of signal and no internet and the only place in the whole of Bourton-on-the-Water was directly next to the bar. The only reason this was a problem for us was my husband took me for a birthday treat and the location was a surprise and all my friends wanted to know where we were. Lovely hotel in a stunning location and would definitely stay here again.
