We stopped here for 'brunch' yesterday morning and sat inside the well decorated cafe area and enjoyed a lovely coffee and a hearty meal. The food is obviously freshly prepared and you can taste/see the quality of the ingredients. It wasn't expensive for the quality, we will definitely visit again and recommend to friends/family!

On a day trip to Moreton in Marsh, we visited Martha's Coffee Shop as it looked pleasant from outside. We ordered a chicken stuffing granary bread sandwich with salad. The salad was barely visible, the chicken and stuffing was awful and the bread was very dry with no butter. Only good thing was the tea. Staff did apologise and offered our tea at no charge. At a cost of £7.95 per sandwich this was extortionate for an inedible meal.
Will not be returning.

I am really sorry about your negative experience. I was made aware by two staff members that your were unhappy, as this is a really unusual occurrence for us, as our trip advisor comments echo. Our roast chicken is cooked freshly everyday and our bread is delivered fresh everyday from a local artisan baker. As the bread is milled using traditional methods the texture can be slightly different, I wonder whether it was this that wasn't to your taste ?
Our staff asked several other customers after yourself about the quality of our chicken and stuffing sandwich and all said it was delicious. Please try us again and give me the opportunity to show you how rare your experience has been.
My Best wishes

Sue

Tuesday in Moreton-In-Marsh means Market day... the town is busy with people and traffic... so why not pop into this lovely little coffee shop in the High Street and take the weight off your feet. Morning Coffee or Lunch or Tea... no problem. Cosy little place right on the doorstep of the Market too... so you don't have to walk very far! You can eat inside or if it's a nice sunny day... in the little garden at the back... really cosy. The food is great and very tasty. I had a pot of tea for one and got almost 3 large cups out of it! That's good value.. and it was made with boiling water.. something quite rare these days in cafes. I had a toasted sandwich with Ham & Cheese absolutely gorgeous taste... loved it. By the way Martha's Coffee House is licensed too... so if you want a drink of your favourite tipple with your lunch... no problem... if you're on a coach trip you can have as much as you like. There was us two Adults with our Grandaughter for lunch... the bill came to a little under £30 for all 3 with drinks etc...excellent value for money. Our first visit to this little coffee shop... it wont be the last that's for sure. Well recommended. A little gem in the heart of the Cotswolds.

We opted for a cream tea in the small courtyard - a generous portion of clotted cream and jam for the scones - a lovely treat whilst touring through the Cotswolds.

We arrived in Moreton-in-Marsh from the train station and could not find a taxi to take us to our B & B.. It was raining, so we sheltered in this coffee shop. A wonderful lady working in Martha's Coffee House overheard us and offered to call a taxi. She called several companies, with no luck. She then offered to drive us over to the B & B herself!! We politely declined, and then a local couple finishing their coffee offered to drive us since it was on their way home. We gladly accepted, and enjoyed their company. The coffee and scones at Martha's were great, but the hospitality was unbelievable and heartwarming indeed.
