We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel; such a stunning town and location on the edge of the Cotswolds. Very helpful staff and clean throughout. A filling breakfast with good coffee too. Only downside was the bedroom was rather cold on a late Autumn night.
Definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay :)

We stayed in the King Arthur's suite which was huge and the bed extremely comfortable.
The breakfast was delicious, as was our Friday night meal.
Nothing negative at all only that we had to leave and come home!
We stayed one night in the Romeo and Juliet room and we were suprised at just how beautiful this building and the grounds are. The hotel is set in the peaceful village of Painswick which gave us some respite from the touristy villages we encountered further east in the Cotswolds.
The room was very quirky for a 400 year old building but its just right, just watch your head on the roof apex beams! The view over the grounds from two small windows was gorgeous too. One thing of note is the external bathroom/WC,which might not be to everyones taste, that is located next to your room through a separate door. The bathroom is again beautifully appointed with a large walk in shower, just take a dressing gown to get from your room to the bathroom.
The breakfast was perfect and very tasty too.
If I had to be overly pernickety, which I really don't want to be, our room had no milk or creamer with the supplied coffee/tea so I had to get dressed to go down and ask for some as the room didn't have a phone to reception. Also one thing that would help is to put a bottle of water in the room, again we had to go out to buy some.
But in saying all this we would absolutely book again at this stunning hotel and would recommend it to friends and family.

the room was too hot with no way of controlling the temperature so we had to sleep with the window fully open.
the berakfast was very poor with one slice of bacon one egg two small sausages and 1/2 a tomato on a massive plate to add insult to injury.
the contential breakfast was cerial and fruit??
i would not stay here again which is a shame as Painswick is well worth visiting.
Loved this beautiful Manor House. Met the owner lovely lady gave us a bottle of champagne.
Stayed in the king richard, very nice and luxurious. Slightly smaller than depicted on pics but nether the less stunning room.
Only thing I can critique is the mattress need changing.
The bathroom although small does the job. Very nice shower and amenities.
Breakfast was decent and served promptly in a nice seating area.
Would like to commend Tanya on the wonderful job she did tending to our every need. One who truly understands customer service. Hope she is recognised for her efforts and rewarded accordingly.
Would highly recommend and definitely return sometime next summer.

We booked the whole of Court House Manor for our exclusive use for 12 nights as our original holiday to a villa in Spain has been cancelled due to covid.
Jared the manager worked with us to ensure everything went smoothly. Any queries or issues were quickly addressed. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful.
The family are still talking about what a great time we had in Painswick.
The house is very old, so please don't expect everything to be perfect, a building that age comes with a long list of little niggles, but it is full of charm and character which more than make up for it.
Complimentary toiletries for exclusive hire customers would have been a nice touch in all the bedrooms and we still think you should turn the swimming pool area into something a lot more glamourous. Still not sure why it took 4 weeks to get my credit card security deposit back.
Stroud town centre is easy to get to by car, and there is a large Tesco store just 5 minutes outside of Painswick.
