Went here for brunch. It was absolutely jam packed but the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!

We had breakfast twice with the vouchers from the Arthouse B&B.
Full English breakfast was very tasty as well as the french toasts, both good size portions and made with fresh ingredients. Really appreciated the baked beans with fresh home made tomato sauce. Staff was friendly and helpful, however when it gets busy the food service struggles a little bit. The black americano is excellent, but it gets cold by the time you get your breakfast, so try to ask if they can serve it at the same time.
Overall it was very good and I would definitively recommend it!

Seven of us which included three children and a dog needed a well earned refreshment break having walked from Chartham, turned up outside. The friendly man ? proprietor came out sorted extra chairs and promptly took our orders. We had homemade cakes, chips, coffee and soft drinks. The food arrived quickly and was fresh and tasty. My coffee was excellent.
This place is a real find and we will definitely go back soon.

First impression upon entering The Refectory Kitchen was its very quaint and homely interior, with a fireplace right in the middle of the restaurant. A very welcoming sight indeed.
I had the French Toast with bacon and maple syrup and I highly recommend it. Their cafe latte was very good too.
You should try their coffee cake, nicely moist, flavourful and generous portions.
Service is first class and friendly.
Overall, a great meal experience.

Regular stop and always so accomodating, friendly, and food is superb. Went today with puppy (and no kids) and couldn't have had a more relaxing breakfast. Dog even got a drink!
