I’ll start with the good points, as they are also the things that are purely in their control

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient

Hotels and rooms in particular were very clean and comfortable and if you wanted anything you just had to ask, real service with a smile

Location by the harbour was excellent with reasonable prices

Downsides

The stairs between first and second floor are a nightmare if you have mobility issues, should be stressed on the information before booking. It’s a lovely old building you can’t do much with but this meant we came down each morning and back each evening as we couldn’t continually do up and down

The noise - you are warned about the noise at the front, so I booked a rear room without a sea view, huge mistake. Not only don’t you get a nice view but the noise of the cellar cooler is horrendous and between 0600 & 2300 it’s even worse!!!

Stayed at this hotel 19th May. Booked through Booking.com. Everything was OK. Room was clean and well decorated. Stayed on the third floor at the back of the hotel. View of a brick wall which again wasn't a problem till bed time. Then became aware that the building on the ground floor was fitted with 3 large air conditioning/ cooler units. Because of the confined area this resulted in a loud droning noise that went on all night. Not good even with the windows closed. Don't get a rear room.

Room Tip: No rear room

Great quality value for money Sunday lunch. Copious portions with a very varied menu. The mushy peas are really mushy!!
Very friendly and professional staff.
Nice location just in front of the Ramsgate harbour.

Stayed in early September 2017 and the bed was very comfortable, the staff very friendly and the room adequate and clean.
Fantastic view out of the room but does come with the unfortunate issue of it being very noisy on a Saturday night with the bar next door being open very late.
