Immaculately clean and welcoming cafe in this great garden centre. The menu has many options of home cooked food. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. The food is delicious and the portions are hearty. The prices are fab with a large latte coffee costing £1.99. They also offer a fabulous Sunday Lunch. The decor of the cafe is great and feels like you are sitting in a barn conversion it also has a lovely outdoor seating area if the weather is fine. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Absolutely appalling. They don’t cater to different diets in the slightest. The only vegan option was a plate of chips. When asked to substitute the eggs on the veggie breakfast for extra mushroom or tomato they said they wouldn’t be able to...! Ended up just having a black coffee as they don’t even have soya milk! Think they need to enter the 21st century with the rest of the world. (Also miserable waiting staff)

Go there pretty regularly, excellent service. Food average, the meat pies ( bought in) have gone down in quality, tough meat. Used to be better..
The biggest problem is that it is freezing in there. They have lovely log burner, but it is NEVER on. When it is mentioned to the staff, they say they don’t think it is cold. Because they are rushing about, in and out of the hot kitchen. Almost everyone sit there with their outdoor clothes on.
Come on Sandhill, light the log burner.....

Chose this as place to meet family after they had attended a funeral nearby. It was a good job I got there early to reserve a table as (it being half term) it soon began to fill up. We all had the roast pork special, which was delicious and very nicely presented. The only slight negative was that the plates were not warm enough to help keep the food warm for longer. There is a good selection of food, the staff are very efficient and, joy of joys, there was no music!! Will definitely be on the ‘worth a revisit’ list.
