We swung by for some food and drinks as we were passing through the Kendal area, the staff was really helpful and attentive, and the food was really nice, we would recommend visiting the restaurant here.

Had a 2 night stay here disappointed is an understatement room very small ( king double 205) no others room available only 1 chair & 1 stool to sit on so not very relaxing. Bathroom tiny, no phone.
Staff were very pleasant but seemed under immense pressure and service was very slow but food was good when it did arrive.
Place lacks atmosphere, we thought it pricey for the size of room . Wouldn’t stay here again

Stayed here on Thursday. One night. Very tired inside. My room (230 I think or 203) desperately in need of a face lift. Horribly musky smell in it. Had to keep windows open all night. The whole place needs a major refurb. Must be loads of better places in the town to stay. Staff following g stupid Covid regs in the bar and at breakfast. Food etc brought to you on a tray and you had to handle it from there. Utterly tedious.

Come a day early for our Riviera Travel Lake District tour this week. All the staff at the hotel are so helpful - special mention for Hazel. Lovely meal tonight roast beef and sticky toffee pudding. We are in the Westmorland Suite , wherever you stay get an upgrade.

We have stayed at this hotel on two occasions, and both visits have been pleasant and enjoyable. The hotel is located on the edge of Kendal and is easy to find and very convenient for both the lakes and the Cumbrian fells. It is close enough to the M6 to be a stopping off point enroute to Scotland.
The room we had was at the back of the hotel overlooking the carpark, but was large and spacious and very quiet. The decor was fresh and pleasant and the bath room was clean and modern. All amenities worked well and the room was very clean. The radiators and towel rail were all adjustable and the room was very cosy.
The breakfast was table service[no buffet items] and was prepared to perfection.
The menu was full and comprehensive. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was also very good, although the menu and wine list were limited.
Car parking at the hotel is free and plentiful.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Helen Clark the manager, to whom nothing is too much trouble.

Room tip: King Rooms at the rear of the hotel are quieter.
